Student answer (Band 6.5)
The modes of submitting payments for the purchases made by people from decade by decade has transformed immensely. In the past people were using coins to purchase anything from the market which will no longer be continued in the upcoming days. All the transection might have to be completed by e-cards or via cellphones. I firmly believe that this will be our reality soon as it gives a convenience and saves money.
To begin with, people feel more convenient on going for a shopping without any hard cash in the pocket. It creates hassle-free environment around them as do not have to be worried about being looted or there is no chance of forgetting their purse in a shop. They can freely enjoy the shopping.Nowadays, most of the shops does not accepts the bills. In this case, having a physical cards or e-wallet helps shoppers to buy from anywhere without caring money. For example, all the online shops requires to do the payment first via credit card then and only then they can deliver the goods.
Additionally, using a card to complete the payment is more accessible and contributes to saving the money. Smartphones allow us to keep our cards secure in their wallet and we can complete our dues in no time from anywhere. Mostly, all the credit cards have some cash back offers on spending certain amount. Using those kinds of cards retain a amount of money back into our account. For instance, all the visa card has cash back offers on spending one tenth of the credit limit.
On the other hand, some old school people like to be as it is and does not want to adapt the change happening in the financial exchanges. They are afraid of spending via e-cards as there are lots of cases occurs of cyber crimes everyday. They feel handling cash s much more responsible & secure way of living.
To cite an example, old age people does not like to use phones while going at shops.
To conclude, I strongly believer that hard cash will no longer be use in need future.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
The response addresses both parts of the prompt: the future of cash and the reasons why some people might resist this change. The position is clear throughout. However, the development of ideas is somewhat uneven. While the benefits of digital payments are discussed, the explanation regarding why people might be unhappy to give up cash is underdeveloped and relies on a very brief example. To reach a higher band, you should expand on the psychological or practical barriers for older generations or those without digital literacy, providing more detailed reasoning rather than just stating they are afraid of cybercrime.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 7.0
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, and there is a clear progression of ideas. You use some cohesive devices, such as 'To begin with,' 'Additionally,' and 'On the other hand,' which help guide the reader. However, some transitions feel a bit mechanical, and the referencing is occasionally unclear. For instance, the sentence 'some old school people like to be as it is' lacks a clear object for the verb. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring that pronouns clearly refer back to their antecedents would enhance the flow of your writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.5
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'cyber crimes,' 'financial exchanges,' and 'hassle-free.' However, there are several instances of awkward word choice and collocation errors, such as 'submitting payments,' 'looted' (when 'robbed' or 'theft' would be more appropriate), and 'retain a amount of money.' Some phrases are also slightly unnatural, such as 'old school people.' To improve, focus on learning common collocations and using more precise terminology to express your ideas more naturally.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are frequent grammatical errors, particularly with subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'most of the shops does not accepts,' 'all the online shops requires') and article usage. There are also issues with pluralization and tense consistency. While these errors do not prevent the reader from understanding your message, they occur frequently enough to limit the score. Focusing on basic grammatical accuracy, especially subject-verb agreement, will significantly improve your writing.
