Student answer (Band 6.5)
In contemporary era, people are increasingly dependent on technology. Although cash are essential part our life, people prefer cards or using phone to pay. It is widely believe that some individuals are dissatisfy to use a cash because of the thief and other crime.
As technology is growing rapidly, using card and phone to pay the bills or any kind of purchase is common. For example, in many countries that method of pay is already has been using by citizens. Canada, it is hardly to see the cash as individuals like to use phones to pay different locations like railway stations, for bus tickets, even for food as well. As a result of using phone, it save the individuals time and increase flexibilities in store such a
Moreover, visitors also do not like to keep cash, as it is unsafe because of the crime happen and it can be dangerous as well. To exemplify this, In many countries people are suffer from lack of many, in those cases if someone has cash it can be more chance to be stolen, whereas if person try to save the money criminal can show them sharp object to give them sense of fear. Hence, the person will give them cash easily.
According to my perspective, using cards like credit cards or debit cards or phones to pay bills make a safe way if something happen. For instance, if someone's phone is left somewhere or stolen, they can call the bank and block the card so there is no presser to loss a money.
In conclusion, as the usage of technology generation to generation new things happen and individuals like to accept that fact if it is safe for them. Therefore, using cards or phones make sense of security for visitors rather than using cash.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
The response addresses both parts of the prompt: the likelihood of a cashless future and the reasons why some people might be reluctant to abandon cash. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. For instance, the argument regarding safety is repetitive, and the explanation of why people might be unhappy to give up cash is not fully explored; the essay focuses more on why people prefer digital payments rather than the specific concerns of those who prefer cash (such as privacy, technical failure, or exclusion of the elderly). The position is clear, but the supporting points lack depth and specific, well-integrated examples.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is organised into paragraphs, and there is a logical progression of ideas. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'Moreover', 'For instance', and 'In conclusion', though some are used mechanically or incorrectly, such as 'According to my perspective' (which is slightly unnatural). Referencing is sometimes unclear, for example, the phrase 'if something happen' is vague. While the paragraphing is functional, the transition between ideas could be smoother to improve the overall flow of the argument.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The range of vocabulary is adequate for the task but lacks precision and sophistication. There are several word-choice errors and awkward collocations, such as 'dissatisfy to use a cash', 'lack of many' (likely meaning 'lack of money'), and 'presser to loss a money'. These errors occasionally impede the reader's understanding. To reach a higher band, you should focus on using more precise terminology related to finance and technology, and ensure that word forms (e.g., nouns vs. adjectives) are used correctly in context.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout. Common issues include subject-verb agreement ('cash are', 'it save'), article usage ('the thief', 'a cash'), and incorrect verb forms ('is already has been using'). While the meaning is generally clear, these persistent errors in basic grammar structures prevent the essay from reaching a higher band. You should focus on proofreading for subject-verb agreement and ensuring that verb tenses are used consistently and accurately.
