Student answer (Band 6.5)
In this contemporary epoch, people are using new technologies in their day to day lifestyle. Due to inovation in technologies numerous individuals are using either card or their smart phones for the payment. In following paragraph I will discussed the posibile reason for using card or smart phones and will also discussed the other side. And my opinion will be covered in the form of conclusion.
On the one hand, new generation are addicated with technologies. For instance smart phone. Not only that but due to innovation in mobile phones, people can do payment with their smart phones. What more is, Government is also introducing type of payment where people can pay using their smart phones and watch. However, there are numerous citizens who prefer to pay with their card instead of using phones. Therefore, they not need to carry lots of cash and coins, which also protect them by getting rob.
On the other hand, old generation people still prefer to pay by cash instead of card. They believe that by paying cash you can track your expense easily and you will spend only the money which you have. On top of in numerous business if you pay by cash then they charge less as compare to paying by card. For example, in garage if you pay cash then you will save the tax which you have to pay if you are paying by card.
To sum up, uses of mobile phones and card payment surely will increase in coming future. However, cash transaction will not stop. As citizens like to take those steps which can help them to save some amounts in their daily expense.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
The response addresses both parts of the prompt: the likelihood of a cashless future and the reasons why some people prefer cash. However, the development is somewhat limited. While the ideas are relevant, they lack depth and specific supporting evidence. For instance, the mention of 'garage' and 'tax' is a good attempt at a real-world example, but the explanation is brief. The position is clear, but the overall argument could be more thoroughly extended to reach a higher band. The introduction is a bit repetitive and does not clearly state a personal position, which is a requirement for a high-scoring response.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is organised into logical paragraphs, and there is a clear progression of ideas. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'On the one hand', 'On the other hand', and 'To sum up', which help guide the reader. However, some transitions are mechanical or slightly awkward, such as 'What more is' and 'On top of in numerous business'. Referencing is sometimes unclear, and the flow between sentences could be smoother. Paragraphing is used appropriately, but the internal structure of the paragraphs could be improved to better link supporting points to the main topic sentences.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary is adequate for the task but lacks the range and precision required for higher bands. There are several spelling errors ('inovation', 'addicated', 'posibile') and some awkward collocations, such as 'contemporary epoch' and 'protect them by getting rob'. While the student attempts to use topic-specific vocabulary like 'cash transaction' and 'expense', the overall range is limited. To improve, the student should focus on using more sophisticated vocabulary and ensuring correct word forms and spelling, as these errors occasionally distract the reader.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. However, there are frequent grammatical errors, including subject-verb agreement issues ('they not need to carry', 'uses of mobile phones... will increase') and incorrect preposition usage. Punctuation is generally functional, but there are errors in sentence construction that occasionally impede clarity. While the student attempts complex structures, they are often faulty. To achieve a higher score, the student needs to focus on basic grammatical accuracy and ensure that complex sentences are constructed correctly without frequent errors.
