Student answer (Band 6.0)

In this contemporary era, online payment has become the easily method among individuals. Due to this I am agree with this thing that cash will gone disappear one day because it is difficult for most of the people to carry cash with them all the times. So, here i would like to shed some lights related to the reasons behind it.

Well, there are many reasons that people don't like to give up using cash . The first one is, cutting less tax . To be more clear, when people purchase products from the stores on the bases of cash then they cut less tax. For example- If i talk about my mother she always give preference to use cash while purchasing a grocery products becuase while using the money as cash less tax will be cut from the overall payment. As a result, it give us benefit to use the money as a cash. Secondly, decline cards on machines. To explain it, as it is commonly seen that when the cashers using the machines for the whole day due to this sometimes machines are stop to working which might be agreed the person who stand in a while for a long time to pay a bill or just small items. Hence, it is good to have cash with the person which they can use when their cards are not working.

Moreover, it is the best method for older people to use cash becuase there are some people who really don't know how to use mobile phone while paying bills so it create difficulties for them to solve these issues and spoil their mood in the crowd. As a conseques, cash is the easy way to use at any place.

Conclusion, if this cash method will disapper in the future it will create a lot of difficulties for most of the people and mke them feel very sad.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response addresses both parts of the prompt: the likelihood of a cashless society and the reasons why some people might be reluctant to abandon cash. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. The argument regarding 'cutting less tax' is unclear and lacks a logical explanation of how cash transactions facilitate tax avoidance. The point about technical failures is relevant, but the explanation is hampered by awkward phrasing. The conclusion is brief and does not fully synthesize the arguments presented. To improve, ensure that each point is clearly explained with a logical link to the prompt, rather than relying on anecdotal examples that are not fully articulated.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5

The essay is organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or inaccurate. For example, 'As a result, it give us benefit' and 'As a conseques' are used to link ideas, but the preceding logic is often difficult to follow. Referencing is sometimes unclear, such as in the second paragraph where the connection between 'decline cards' and the subsequent explanation is disjointed. The progression of ideas within paragraphs is occasionally interrupted by grammatical errors, which makes the flow feel somewhat forced rather than natural.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks precision and variety. There are several instances of awkward word choice and collocation errors, such as 'easily method', 'shed some lights', and 'cashers using the machines'. The student attempts to use some topic-specific vocabulary, but the misuse of terms like 'cutting less tax' and 'agreed the person' (likely meaning 'annoy') indicates a limited range and control. To reach a higher band, the student should focus on using collocations correctly and expanding their range of academic vocabulary to express complex ideas more accurately.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there is a high frequency of grammatical errors. Frequent issues include subject-verb agreement ('it give us benefit', 'machines are stop to working'), article usage, and word order. Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with spacing around commas and periods. While the meaning is generally understandable, the persistent errors in basic grammar and sentence construction impede the flow and clarity of the writing. More attention to proofreading and mastering basic sentence patterns would significantly improve the quality of the response.
