Student answer (Band 5.0)

In the future people may no longer be able to pay things in shop using cash, all payments may have to be card or using phones. But this will happen one day, some peoples not happy to using card or phone payments , they prefer using cash payments. I consider this method may be 75 % using better, 25% cash using is good.

In the current situation all of the persons use card payment , it safe and secure. Go to bank and que more time will spend in that area for cash collecting. This moment is very help full for shoping and another activitys. Old generation peoples don't like this method, they use cash payments in long years . that people will chose this method. It is easy choice.younger generation this time AI method s using time.

In one day this will happen, but suddenly no way, may people don't use mobile phones, atm cards so some time may be it happen. Many of people have using cash for purchasing, bill payment s etc. I choose now that two methods using. Card or phone payments and cash using method. Big shopes hotels textiles jewellerys may use card payment, in small hotel drink one cup tea or coffee only 15 rs card payment is to problem. That time cash is better option.

To conclude future people have using both methods.ony day it be happen but some persons doing very selective moments. Future people may decide safe in card payment cash don't be miss the purce and pockets. Card pin the safe all time. So that will happen suddenly.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response addresses both parts of the prompt: the likelihood of a cashless future and the reasons for resistance. However, the development of ideas is limited and often repetitive. While you express a clear opinion, the arguments lack depth and supporting evidence. For instance, the mention of 'old generation' and 'small shops' is relevant, but these points are not fully explored or connected to a broader argument. The response tends to over-generalize, and the lack of clear, structured reasoning makes it difficult for the reader to follow your perspective. To improve, focus on expanding each point with specific examples or logical explanations rather than listing observations.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay is organized into paragraphs, but the logical progression is weak. There is a lack of cohesive devices (such as 'furthermore', 'consequently', or 'however') to link ideas within and between sentences. Many sentences feel disconnected, and the transition between the discussion of the future and the current situation is abrupt. Referencing is sometimes unclear, such as in the phrase 'that people will chose this method,' where the antecedent is ambiguous. The overall structure is mechanical, and the lack of effective signposting makes the argument difficult to follow. Improving the use of linking words and ensuring each paragraph has a clear topic sentence would significantly enhance the flow.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is limited and repetitive, often relying on basic terms like 'method', 'using', and 'payments'. There are several instances of word-choice errors and non-standard collocations, such as 'que more time will spend' and 'big shopes hotels textiles jewellerys'. The spelling is inconsistent, with errors like 'shoping', 'activitys', and 'purce'. While the meaning is generally conveyed, the lack of variety and the frequent errors in word formation and spelling restrict the range of expression. To reach a higher band, you should aim to use a wider range of topic-specific vocabulary and focus on accurate spelling and word forms.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The response contains frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede communication. There are consistent issues with subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'some peoples not happy'), tense usage (e.g., 'future people have using'), and sentence structure (e.g., 'Card pin the safe all time'). The essay relies heavily on simple sentence structures, and attempts at more complex sentences are often faulty or fragmented. Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with the use of commas and periods. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, ensuring correct verb tenses, and proofreading for common errors like missing articles and incorrect prepositions.
