Student answer (Band 6.0)
Individuals may do payments by card or using phones instead of paying things in shops by cash in the future. I totally agree with the statement and this essay will discuss both side in the paragraphs.
One the one hand, there are numerous causes why this will happen. First and foremost, the main fundamental reason is that this initiative would assist to reduce the robbery cases. To explain, when people would not carry bundles of money with them, the chances of robbery could reduce. For example, every month thousands of pickpocketing cases are registered which are not easy to solve. As a result, people can save their cash from being theft. Moreover, by implementing this thing the government can have a record of the person’s every transaction which will help to minimise the crimes related to black money; consequently, people will only able to use white money. Hence, these are the benefits of cashless society.
On the other hand, there are few people in society who would not accept this online transaction era due to some reasons. Firstly, most of the people in villages are not educated in some nations and they would find it difficult to apply it in their daily lifestyle. Since, they would get afraid of sending or paying which could lead to various issues such as wrong payment, blocking account and so on. Additionally, there are always network issues in hilly areas so paying through phones is not possible in these types of areas because due to lack of network sometimes payment get failed and stuck. So, in hilly places individuals are strictly against of this trend.
To recapitulate, one can reach to the conclusion that no doubt cashless society would bring several facilities; however, in my opinion, if this becomes compulsory, individuals will face lots of hurdles, especially those who are illiterate and there will be payment issues in hilly areas due to poor network.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses all parts of the prompt, providing reasons for the shift to a cashless society and explaining why some people might be reluctant to adopt it. The position is clear throughout. However, the development of ideas is somewhat basic. For instance, the argument regarding 'black money' is mentioned but not fully explored in terms of its broader economic impact. The introduction is slightly confusing as it mentions discussing 'both sides' when the prompt asks for a prediction and reasons for reluctance, but the body paragraphs remain relevant to the task requirements. To reach a higher band, ensure that arguments are supported with more nuanced explanations rather than just listing potential issues.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is logically organized with a clear introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. Cohesive devices such as 'First and foremost', 'Moreover', 'On the other hand', and 'To recapitulate' are used to guide the reader. However, some transitions feel mechanical, and there are minor issues with referencing and flow, such as the phrase 'implementing this thing' which is vague. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate the two main ideas. The progression of ideas is generally clear, though the link between the introduction's promise to discuss 'both sides' and the actual content could be more precise.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary is adequate for the task, allowing the writer to express their ideas clearly. There are some attempts at less common collocations like 'cashless society' and 'online transaction era'. However, there are instances of imprecise word choice and awkward phrasing, such as 'do payments', 'save their cash from being theft' (should be 'theft' or 'stolen'), and 'strictly against of this trend'. These errors do not impede communication, but they limit the score. To improve, focus on more natural collocations and avoid repetitive or overly simplistic phrasing.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The student uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are frequent grammatical errors, such as 'people will only able to use' (missing 'be'), 'there are few people' (should be 'a few'), and 'due to lack of network sometimes payment get failed' (missing articles and subject-verb agreement). Punctuation is generally functional, but there are some awkward sentence constructions that affect the flow. The control of grammar is sufficient for a 6.0, but more consistent accuracy in complex structures is needed for a higher band.
