Student answer (Band 6.0)
In this contemporary world, many people think that all payments might be complete in the future using card or phones. Hence, payments using cash would be completely vanish. I strongly believe that this will happen in the future even tough some people's personal preference for payment is cash.
On the one hand, one of the significant reasons is that people do not want to change their hobby. Many individuals of all generations have been using cash as their primary method for payment. Hence, a sudden change would be hard for many people to accept and also to master in it . For instance, Even though there are multiple payment options are available today , the majority of elder people choose cash due to their convenience.
on the other hand, many people are concerned about their privacy. Specifically in today's world, there has been an increase in the online theft rates. In addition , criminals are storing details of people with the help of new technologies immediately once they used their debit or credit card. So, people including the new generations adopt cash as their primary mode of payment method. People feel more safer and convenient here. For instance , recent studies have concluded that in Canada online thefts have increased tremendously than a decade ago , which made populations to attract cash over card for any payments.
In conclusion, privacy is a main concern for individuals today .Also many people suffer from changing the hobby because they are habituated it from childhood. Hence, they are not happy to give up on cash.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
You have addressed both parts of the prompt: the likelihood of a cashless society and the reasons for resistance. Your position is clear from the introduction. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. For instance, while you mention 'privacy' and 'online theft,' the explanation could be more nuanced. The argument regarding 'hobby' is slightly confusing; it seems you mean 'habit' or 'routine' rather than a leisure activity. To reach a higher band, ensure that your supporting examples are more precise and that your terminology accurately reflects the concepts being discussed.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, and you use basic cohesive devices such as 'On the one hand,' 'In addition,' and 'In conclusion.' However, the flow is occasionally interrupted by mechanical or repetitive transitions. Some sentences feel disjointed, and the referencing is sometimes unclear, such as in the phrase 'people feel more safer and convenient here.' Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring that each paragraph has a clear, singular focus will help improve the overall progression of your argument.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
Your vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, but it lacks the precision and range required for higher bands. You rely on some repetitive phrasing, such as 'payments using cash' and 'primary method for payment.' There are also some word-choice errors, such as using 'hobby' to describe a financial habit, and 'populations to attract cash,' which is an unnatural collocation. To improve, focus on learning topic-specific collocations related to finance and technology, and try to avoid repeating the same basic verbs and nouns throughout the response.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
You demonstrate a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. Examples include 'all payments might be complete' (should be 'completed'), 'even tough' (spelling), 'elder people' (should be 'elderly people'), and 'more safer' (double comparative). Additionally, there are issues with article usage and subject-verb agreement, such as 'there are multiple payment options are available.' While these errors do not prevent the reader from understanding your main points, they occur frequently enough to limit your score in this criterion.
