Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response addresses both parts of the prompt: the likelihood of a cashless society and the reasons why some people might be reluctant to adopt it. However, the development of these ideas is inconsistent. The argument regarding convenience is clear, but the section on fraud is somewhat confusingly linked to tax payments and online shopping in Pakistan, which distracts from the main point. The conclusion is brief and lacks a strong summary of the main arguments. To improve, ensure that each paragraph focuses on a single, well-developed idea that directly answers the prompt's specific questions.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay is organised into paragraphs, but the logical flow between sentences is often disrupted by grammatical errors and awkward phrasing. While some cohesive devices are used, such as 'Furthermore' and 'On the contrary', they are sometimes used incorrectly or in contexts where they do not fit the preceding thought. The referencing is occasionally unclear, making it difficult for the reader to follow the progression of the argument. Improving the use of transition signals and ensuring that each paragraph has a clear topic sentence would significantly enhance the coherence of your writing.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary range is limited and often repetitive. There are several instances of incorrect word choice, such as 'dimerits' instead of 'demerits', 'nemourus' instead of 'numerous', and 'familier' instead of 'familiar'. The phrase 'did not want money on their pocket' is unnatural. While the meaning is generally conveyed, the lack of precision and the presence of spelling errors prevent the essay from reaching a higher band. Focus on learning collocations and using more precise terminology related to finance and technology to improve your lexical range.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay contains frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede communication. There are consistent issues with subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'economy has increasing', 'technologies has developed'), article usage, and sentence structure. Many sentences are fragmented or contain run-on structures, such as 'Since, nemourus companies who wanted to you to pay tax...'. The use of complex structures is attempted but often results in errors. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, specifically ensuring that subjects and verbs agree and that clauses are correctly connected.
