Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses both parts of the prompt: the future of cash-less payments and the reasons for resistance. However, the development is somewhat limited. The arguments regarding the benefits of digital payments are clear, but the explanation of why people resist change is underdeveloped and ends abruptly. The position is consistent throughout, but the essay lacks depth in its analysis, particularly in the second body paragraph, which feels incomplete. To reach a higher band, you should ensure that each point is fully supported with detailed reasoning and clear examples, and avoid trailing off at the end of the essay.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into paragraphs, and there is a clear attempt to use cohesive devices such as 'Additionally', 'However', and 'To exemplify'. However, the flow is occasionally hindered by awkward phrasing and mechanical transitions. The referencing is sometimes unclear, such as in the phrase 'Why it will be, because...', which disrupts the logical progression. Paragraphing is present, but the final paragraph is incomplete, which affects the overall structure. To improve, focus on using a wider variety of linking words more naturally and ensure that each paragraph has a clear, finished conclusion.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, but there are frequent errors in word choice and collocation. For example, 'Advancement in technology is drastically changes' should be 'Advancements in technology are drastically changing'. Phrases like 'practical scenario' and 'creative options' are used in ways that are not entirely natural. While you attempt to use some topic-specific vocabulary like 'transaction details' and 'digital payments', the range is limited, and the errors occasionally make the reader pause. Focus on learning the correct verb forms and collocations associated with technology and finance.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that affect the clarity of the writing. Common issues include subject-verb agreement ('revolutions are happening... this will definitely brings'), incorrect verb tenses ('it is solve the problem'), and awkward sentence construction ('they are still avoiding themselves to use'). Punctuation is generally functional, but the sentence structure is often repetitive. To improve, pay closer attention to basic grammar rules, particularly verb conjugation and the use of articles, and try to vary your sentence structure to avoid repetitive patterns.
