Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 4.0
The response is significantly under the 250-word minimum requirement, which severely impacts the ability to fully develop the task. While the introduction attempts to address the prompt, the essay is incomplete, ending abruptly after only one body paragraph. Consequently, the second part of the prompt—why people might be unhappy to give up cash—is not adequately explored. To improve, you must ensure you provide a full response that covers all parts of the question with sufficient supporting details and examples. The current length prevents a balanced discussion, leading to a failure to meet the basic requirements of the task.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay shows some attempt at logical organization, using transition signals like 'In other words' and 'Moreover'. However, the abrupt ending and the lack of a conclusion make the overall structure incomplete. Paragraphing is present, but the development within the paragraph is limited. To achieve a higher score, you need to ensure that your ideas are fully developed and that the essay follows a clear, logical progression from introduction to body paragraphs and a final conclusion. The current lack of completion makes it difficult to assess your ability to manage cohesion over a full-length response.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary used is generally adequate for basic communication, but it lacks the range and precision required for higher bands. There are some awkward phrasings, such as 'will unable from upcoming days' and 'An advent of factors are their', which indicate a limited control over word choice and collocation. To improve, focus on using more natural collocations and a wider variety of topic-specific vocabulary related to finance and technology. Avoid repetitive structures and try to incorporate more sophisticated synonyms to express your ideas more clearly and effectively.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The response contains several grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. Examples include 'will unable from upcoming days' (incorrect verb form) and 'fraud cases also increases' (subject-verb agreement error). While there is an attempt to use complex sentence structures, the frequent errors in basic grammar and sentence construction limit the score. To improve, focus on mastering subject-verb agreement, correct verb tense usage, and sentence structure. Proofreading your work for these common errors will help you achieve a higher level of accuracy and demonstrate better control over your writing.
