Student answer (Band 6.5)

In the future, it is possible that cash will be used far less frequently than it is today, with most transactions being made through bank cards, mobile applications or other digital payment methods. While I believe society is moving towards a cashless economy, I do not think cash will disappear completely.

There are strong indications that digital transaction will continue replace the cash transaction in everyday life. Advances in technology have made electronice transfer much easier, convienent and safer. People can pay for good and service instantly using contactless cards and mobile application without carrying physical money. For example, from the last decades in online transcation number in rise up by 50% amoung people in worldwide. As advancement, even for small purchase people can use contactless payment methods.

However, some people may not be happy about a completely cashless society. One reason is privacy. Cash transaction do not create digital records, whereas digital payment can be tracked by banks, companies or governements. Some people prefer cash because it allows them to keep their spending private. Another concern is accessibility. Elderly people who are not aware of modern technology may find digital payment methods hard to use. In addition, cash can be extremely useful during technical failure, such as power outrages or internet distruption, when electronic payment may stop working.

There are also practical reasons why people prefer cash. May find it easier to control their spending when they can physically see how much money they have left. For instance, people who try to follow budget find it more discplined when using cash instead of credit card, which encourage over spending.

In conclusion, I believe digital payment will become dominant method of payment in future because of their convenience and efficiency. Nevertheless, cash is unlikely disappear entirely, as many people value it for reason of privacy, accessiblity and financial control.

Overall6.5

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 7.0

You have addressed all parts of the prompt, providing a clear position on the future of cash and offering logical reasons why some individuals might resist a cashless society. Your ideas are relevant and well-structured. To reach a higher band, ensure that your supporting examples are more specific and accurate. For instance, the claim that 'online transaction number in rise up by 50% amoung people in worldwide' is vague and lacks a clear source or context. Developing your arguments with more precise evidence or deeper analysis would strengthen the response further.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 7.5

The essay is logically organized with a clear introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. You use cohesive devices such as 'However', 'In addition', and 'For instance' to link ideas effectively. The progression of arguments is easy to follow. To improve, ensure that referencing is always clear and avoid minor mechanical errors in transitions. The paragraphing is appropriate, and each paragraph has a clear central theme, which helps the reader navigate your argument without difficulty.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

You demonstrate a sufficient range of vocabulary to discuss the topic with some precision, using terms like 'cashless economy', 'digital transaction', and 'technical failure'. However, there are several spelling errors, such as 'electronice', 'convienent', 'transcation', 'amoung', and 'discplined'. These errors are noticeable but do not impede communication. To achieve a higher score, focus on accuracy in spelling and try to incorporate more sophisticated collocations or less common lexical items to show greater flexibility.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0

You use a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, which is appropriate for this task. While you demonstrate control over basic grammar, there are frequent minor errors, such as 'digital transaction will continue replace' (should be 'continue to replace'), 'power outrages' (should be 'outages'), and 'unlikely disappear' (should be 'unlikely to disappear'). Additionally, there are some issues with article usage and pluralization. Despite these errors, the meaning is always clear, and the grammar does not prevent the reader from understanding your points.
