Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response addresses both parts of the prompt: the future of cash and the reasons for resistance. However, the development is inconsistent. While you mention online shopping and discounts, the explanation regarding why people might be unhappy to give up cash is largely missing, as you focus more on why cards are convenient. The argument is somewhat repetitive, and the conclusion introduces a new point about 'black money' that was not previously discussed. To improve, ensure each paragraph focuses on a distinct aspect of the prompt and provides deeper analysis rather than listing examples.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay is organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or inaccurate (e.g., 'In additional', 'The some reason is that'). There is a lack of logical flow between sentences, and some transitions feel forced. Referencing is occasionally unclear, such as in the second paragraph where 'they' is used without a clear antecedent. Improving the variety and accuracy of linking words will help the ideas connect more naturally and improve the overall flow of your argument.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks precision and variety. There are several instances of awkward phrasing and incorrect word choices, such as 'morden technology', 'cash carry', and 'preserve time'. You rely on basic vocabulary and struggle with collocations (e.g., 'estimated' instead of 'predict', 'accepted' instead of 'accept'). While the meaning is generally clear, the lack of sophisticated or topic-specific vocabulary limits the score. Expanding your range to include more academic collocations and synonyms would significantly enhance the quality of your writing.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay contains frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede readability. Issues include subject-verb agreement ('they doesn’t need', 'they does not neeed'), article usage ('the global', 'a cash'), and tense consistency. While you attempt some complex structures, they are often marred by errors, such as 'that can’t got via cash'. The punctuation is also inconsistent, with unnecessary spaces before commas and periods. To reach a higher band, you need to focus on basic sentence construction and proofreading to eliminate these recurring errors in agreement and verb forms.
