Student answer (Band 6.0)
Over the years there is a significant changes found out while paying in stores, supermarkets, restaurants or everywhere there is exchange of money. In upcoming years people may pay online only via cared or using smartphones gadgets. I believe the online mode of payment will take place across the globe whereas some people might not be happy and feel challenging to give up on cash while paying anyone.
One of the outrageous supporter of digital payment era the financial institutions as they’ve given access to use bank accounts in one touch to their customers. For instance, Scotia bank - more than half of the population use their software applications and has effortless access to check their finances on phones, in addition they do not need to be physically present in the bank. These features improvise the country’s growth and development and believe in their own dependency.
On the other side people who are still using cash to pay for their shopping in a traditional way are hardly ready to digest this system. For my point of view, having cash can be easily stolen if kept in pockets or handy. However the cash is more safer while keeping it in the bank or safe lockers. In addition, the crime of pick pockets has been numerously increases everyday. Moreover, people has experienced issues of changes in currency while travelling or shortage of cash while using them.
In my perspective, these online platforms of paying in one touch is far better instead of having cash in most of the places. In addition, government also supporting to digital use of payment instead of cash by encouraging citizens to sustainable future and avoid paper or plastic cash in hand. However, the tradition way of paying in cash shall not get removed from the roots.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses both parts of the prompt: the future of digital payments and the reasons why some people are reluctant to abandon cash. However, the development of ideas is somewhat inconsistent. While the first paragraph introduces the topic, the second paragraph focuses heavily on banking apps rather than the broader shift to digital payments. The third paragraph attempts to explain why people prefer cash, but the logic is slightly muddled, as it argues that cash is easily stolen while simultaneously claiming it is safer in lockers. To reach a higher band, you should ensure your arguments are more logically consistent and fully supported with clearer examples.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organised into paragraphs, and there is a clear attempt to use cohesive devices such as 'For instance', 'On the other side', and 'In addition'. However, the use of these markers is sometimes mechanical or slightly inaccurate, such as using 'For my point of view' instead of 'From my point of view'. The progression of ideas is generally logical, but the transition between the benefits of banking apps and the reluctance to use digital payments could be smoother. The referencing is occasionally unclear, which slightly impacts the flow of the argument.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is adequate for the task but lacks precision and sophistication. There are several instances of awkward collocations and word choices, such as 'improvise the country’s growth' (should be 'improve' or 'foster') and 'outrageous supporter' (which has a negative connotation, whereas you likely meant 'enthusiastic' or 'prominent'). Phrases like 'digest this system' and 'removed from the roots' are slightly unnatural in this context. To improve, focus on learning more precise collocations and academic vocabulary to express your ideas more naturally.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. Examples include 'there is a significant changes found out' (subject-verb agreement error), 'people has experienced' (should be 'have'), and 'the crime of pick pockets has been numerously increases' (incorrect verb tense and adverb usage). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with comma usage. While the meaning is generally clear, the frequency of these errors prevents the essay from reaching a higher band. Focus on proofreading for basic subject-verb agreement and tense consistency.
