Student answer (Band 6.0)
In this technological era, there are so many mode of payments instead of cash. In the upcoming time, individuals may no longer be able to pay by using cash, instead, they will use card or smart phones. This essay will discuss it will occurs once in the future and why some people do not want to forget the payment by using currency.
Nowadays, plethora of humans use credit or debit card for the mode of payment rather than using physical cash. Most of the people also using various applications through their mobile phones by scanning the QR code for the payment. I feel that in the forthcoming time, all payments may have to be made by using several technology and it will takes place of cash one day. For instance, a research conducted by the RBI (Reserve Bank of India) states, above 85% of the people using Google pay, Phone pay and other such applications in the form of payment for something which they purchase from the shops.
Furthermore, some individuals are not familiar with technology and they do not know about how to use it. This often happened with older ones because in the past they used to give cash in hand as a payment. Therefore, I think some human beings might not be accept to use card or phones. In Australia, for example, younger and older ones both use physical money instead of digital payment because it is a small country and their economy mostly based on a real cash.
To conclude, most of the nations accept electronic payment and I believe that in the future it will surely takes place of money in hand.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
The response addresses both parts of the task: whether cash will disappear in the future and why some people might be unhappy about giving it up. A clear position is established in the introduction and maintained throughout the essay. The student supports the main ideas with relevant explanations and examples, such as the reference to the Reserve Bank of India and the mention of older generations. However, some ideas are slightly under-developed or contain sweeping generalizations, such as the claim about Australia where the factual premise regarding cash is unconvincing. Overall, the content is relevant and addresses the prompt adequately, aligning well with the Band 6 descriptors.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The essay displays a coherent overall arrangement with a logical progression of ideas. It is divided into an introduction, two body paragraphs, and a conclusion, which shows a clear structural framework. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'Furthermore' and 'To conclude', though some linking is mechanical or repetitive. Referencing is generally clear, and paragraphing is used sufficiently. However, some transitions between sentences feel abrupt, and the cohesion within paragraphs could be smoother to reach higher band levels. This performance corresponds to a Band 6.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
The student demonstrates an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, attempting some less common items such as 'technological era', 'plethora', and 'forthcoming'. However, there are noticeable word choice and collocation errors throughout the text, such as 'so many mode of payments' instead of 'modes of payment', 'in the upcoming time' instead of 'in the near future', and 'humans' used to refer to people in general. Spelling is generally acceptable, but vocabulary limitations and awkward phrasing prevent the score from reaching a higher band, placing it solidly at Band 5.5.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
The writer uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, attempting complex forms with varying degrees of success. There are frequent grammatical errors and awkward phrasing, such as 'This essay will discuss it will occurs once in the future', 'Most of the people also using', and 'might not be accept to use'. Articles and prepositions are also misused at times. While these errors do not completely impede communication, they occur regularly and demonstrate limited control over more complex grammatical structures, fitting the Band 5.5 criteria.
