Student answer (Band 5.0)

It true that , in future people will started using mordern payment methods for shopping despite traditional cash methods . i am 100 % sure more people specially younger generetaions adapt these methods while the older one still relie on the cash . there are several reason why people will not consider to shopping through card or mobile payment and will discuss my points in the forthcoming paraghars .

I strongly believe that they will not completely dominate the shoping market , there still 40% people will choose the cash payments and it will not happing in the next 100 years . specially the younger generation like to use this methods for shopping and there number will dominate the shopping market .

The First and the foremost is , online payment are to risky sometime , more chances for the leakage of the cards information and chances of fraud will be higher . For example , online website needed all your cards information for completeing yours purchase and some online sacmmer made simillar website as the original and people consufed in that convicted in online scam . Secondly , elderly people not trust online system , they will only use the cash payment for a safety . To be more clear , for oldones is quite harder to adapt with modern technology , as it is changing so frequently and new methods coming every months . For safety of their all life saving they will relie only on cash payments.

To conclude , it will not happend one day and there are so many reasons why people will not give up using cash .

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

The response addresses both parts of the prompt, discussing whether cash will disappear and why some people might hesitate to abandon it. However, the development of ideas remains somewhat limited and repetitive, which prevents a higher score. For instance, the writer mentions security risks such as data leaks and scam websites, but these points are under-developed and lack extension or concrete personal examples. The position is stated, though slightly confused by contradictory assertions about the timeline of cashless adoption. To move further, the ideas need deeper expansion, particularly regarding the specific concerns of older generations and the broader societal implications of a cashless economy.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

There is some basic organisation present, with attempts to divide the text into introductory, body, and concluding paragraphs, though the paragraphing structure is somewhat disjointed and erratic. Overall progression lacks clarity, and the logical flow between sentences is occasionally hindered by abrupt transitions and repetitive statements. Cohesive devices are used, but they tend to be mechanical and repetitive, such as 'Secondly' and 'To conclude'. Referencing is not always clear, and sentences often feel disjointed rather than building smoothly upon one another. To improve, the writer should focus on creating a clearer logical progression and using a more varied range of cohesive devices naturally.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

The vocabulary used is minimally adequate for the task, but the range is limited and contains noticeable errors. There are frequent spelling mistakes such as 'mordern', 'generetaions', 'relie', 'paraghars', 'shoping', 'sacmmer', 'simillar', 'consufed', 'convicted', 'oldones', and 'happend'. Word choice and word formation inaccuracies are also present, such as 'methods for shopping instead of' and 'online website needed'. These errors occasionally cause difficulty for the reader. To achieve a higher level, the writer needs to expand their lexical repertoire, incorporate less common vocabulary with greater precision, and pay much closer attention to spelling and word forms.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

The writer demonstrates a limited range of grammatical structures, relying heavily on simple sentences alongside poorly controlled attempts at complex forms. Frequent errors are evident throughout the text, including issues with subject-verb agreement, tense consistency, and awkward phrasing such as 'in future people will started using' and 'there still 40% people will choose'. Punctuation and article usage are also problematic, with misplaced commas and missing determiners. These frequent grammatical errors cause some difficulty for the reader. To progress, the writer should focus on mastering basic sentence construction, improving control over verb tenses, and reducing the frequency of foundational grammatical mistakes.
