Student answer (Band 6.0)
Advancement in technology has made people's life comfortable. People in the future would be shifting their choices for payment from cash to card transactions because they find it convinent to pay using mobile phones and card. While some people finds it a daunting task to follow this trend, when it comes to senior citizens.
First and foremost, reason for using digital technology to pay for shopping is to keep record of all the transactions. An individual using mobile phones could keep the track of the daily made payments easily. For example, if a person is being double charged for same thing, he could fix it effortlessly by calling a bank or going back to the same store. Thus, it helps a person to get a accurate report of their bank statement. Moreover, people are comfortable making payment by card instead of using cash. Many people are maldroit and they lose their cash or forget to take it them while shopping. Mobile phones has made a persons job easy by using an apple pay to make payment. Consequently, a person keep themselves safe from theft of cash.
Conversely, some people are not really happy about paying through cards or online. Firstly, they has mitiagte knowledge about the digitial payment and gets a hard time using innovative technology. Many elderly people are unaware about the benefits of paying through card and phones. They always carry cah with them because they find it a convinent way to make the payment. Furthermore, people also keep themselves away from high interest rates which bank charges on credit cards. Not only this, but some people has experienced online frauds and then they quit paying through card or phones. To substantiate, hackers use the data of a credit or debit card when any individual make the payment online. As a result, people prefer shopping by using cash.
To conclude, although people would be making their choices by paying using card and phone because they could maintain the trnsaction records ans hav eto not worry about carrying cash. However, many people who are less knowledgable and are afraid of being victim of online frauds do not prefer to use online payments.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
You address both parts of the prompt: you predict a shift towards card and phone payments, and explain why some people may resist, including older people’s unfamiliarity with technology, concerns about credit-card interest, and fear of online fraud. Your position is clear, and examples such as correcting a double charge and hackers accessing card details make the discussion relevant. The response also shows some development beyond simply listing reasons. However, the prediction that cash will be replaced is asserted rather than explored, and the point about keeping transaction records is explained more fully than the broader question of whether cash will disappear. Develop the prediction with a qualification—for example, that cash may remain available for people who need it—and extend the less-developed reasons with specific consequences.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for the advantages of digital payment and reasons for resisting it, and a conclusion. Sequencing phrases such as “First and foremost,” “Moreover,” and “Conversely” help readers follow the main points. However, some linking is mechanical, and the relationship between ideas is occasionally unclear. For instance, “While some people finds it a daunting task…” is left as a fragment rather than being integrated into the opening argument. The conclusion also repeats earlier points without bringing them together into a sharper final judgement. Use fewer formulaic transitions, connect each example explicitly to its main claim, and check that pronouns such as “they” have an unmistakable reference.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use a reasonable range of topic vocabulary, including “transactions,” “bank statement,” “interest rates,” and “online frauds,” which helps communicate the main ideas. There are also attempts at less common wording, such as “daunting task” and “substantiate.” However, several inaccurate word choices, collocations, and spelling errors reduce precision: “maldroit” does not fit the intended meaning, “keep the track” is unnatural, and “cah,” “digitial,” and “trnsaction” are misspelled. Some phrases are also awkward, including “the daily made payments” and “maintain the transaction records.” Choose familiar, accurate expressions where uncertain, and proofread spelling and collocations. More precise vocabulary would make the argument sound clearer and more natural.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt a mix of simple and complex structures, including conditional language (“if a person is being double charged”) and contrast clauses (“although people would be making their choices…”). The main message is generally understandable, but some errors in agreement, articles, verb forms, and sentence construction remain. Examples include “some people finds,” “Mobile phones has made,” and “a accurate report”; these should be “some people find,” “Mobile phones have made,” and “an accurate report.” The opening “While some people finds it a daunting task…” is an incomplete sentence, and “people has experienced” also needs subject–verb agreement. Review agreement and article use, and make sure subordinate clauses are attached to complete main clauses. This will improve accuracy while preserving your attempts at varied sentence forms.
