Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 3.5

You give a clear personal view that card payments are likely to become more common, and your example of blocking your husband’s lost card supports the convenience and security of cashless payment. However, the response only partly answers the task: it does not clearly explain why some people might be unhappy to give up cash, such as concerns about privacy, access to banking, or technology failures. The discussion of banks’ credit-card offers is also not fully connected to whether cash will disappear. The conclusion mentions change after the pandemic but does not firmly answer whether cash will eventually become unavailable. The response is 243 words, so it is 7 words below the 250-word minimum; 37 words copied from the task prompt were not counted. Develop both parts of the question with relevant explanations and examples.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.0

The response has a basic paragraph structure: an introduction, examples about banks, a personal experience, and a conclusion. This gives the reader some sense of how the ideas are grouped. However, progression between points is often unclear. For example, the discussion moves from government approval to credit-card offers without explaining how these support the prediction that cash will disappear. Linking phrases such as “For example,” “According to me,” and “in conclusion” are used, but some connections feel mechanical or do not accurately signal the relationship between ideas. Several long sentences combine multiple points, making the reasoning difficult to follow. To improve, give each paragraph one clear purpose and use shorter sentences with explicit links between the claim, explanation, and example.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “credit cards,” “debit cards,” “blocked our card,” and “zero interest,” and the lost-card example shows an attempt to describe a practical benefit. However, the range is limited and several word choices or spellings make meaning less clear, as in “updated technology,” “huge way,” “loan zero percentage interest rates,” and “hard work money.” Repetition of “things,” “cards,” and “government” also limits precision. Some phrases appear to be translated directly rather than expressed in natural English. Build a wider set of accurate terms for cashless payments and possible concerns, such as “digital transactions,” “financial privacy,” and “people without bank accounts,” and check spelling and collocations carefully.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

You attempt both simple and longer sentence forms, and the reader can understand the main point in several places, particularly the account of blocking a lost card. However, sentence structure and punctuation are frequently inaccurate, and long sentences often run together without clear grammatical links. For example, “Now days society is using updated techonlogy day by day our techonology is developing…” joins several clauses without suitable punctuation or conjunctions. There are also problems with verb forms and agreement, such as “i did not think this such technology improvement made fast,” and with articles and sentence construction in “If we lost cash we could not find cash.” Practise building accurate short sentences first, then combine them using clear conjunctions and correct tense patterns.
