Student answer (Band 6.0)

Over the past few years, technology has changed specially in payment method. Now many individuals use online payment instead of cash payment and It's become increasingly common.I believe that in the future, most shops will accept payments by card or mobile phone, and cash. However, I do not believe cash will be disappear completely because many people prefer cash payment. In this essay will examine the reason why this situation has arisen.

There are several factor why cashless payment become popular because it is very convenient and quick. People can pay easily by tapping card or using phone without needing to carry coin or money. Due to online payment anybody can track of sending by transaction list which is automatically saved after transaction. You can easy send money to your family and friends. For example, If your family member living far away from you and you want to send money. You can send money by using phone.

However, some people may not be happy about giving up cash specially older people. Elderly people face problem while using technology. They may find difficult to use digital payment. Furthermore, paying with cash can help people control their spending because people carry limited money with them according their need. Sometime you can not use online payment because of technical problems or internet failures. In these situations, cash can be extremely useful.

In conclusion, our society will shift to a cashless society because of rapid digital growth but people should have freedom to choose their payment method according their convenience.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

You address both parts of the prompt: you predict a move towards cashless payments and explain why some people may resist, especially older people, those who want to control spending, and people affected by technical or internet failures. Your position is clear, although it shifts slightly: you say shops will accept card or phone payments “and cash,” then conclude society “will shift to a cashless society.” Clarify whether you expect cash to disappear or simply become less common. The examples are relevant, such as sending money to a distant family member, but this mainly illustrates convenience rather than developing the prediction. Explain more fully why cash is likely to remain available and how the concerns you identify support that view.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5

The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, a paragraph on the convenience of digital payments, a paragraph on reasons to retain cash, and a conclusion. The contrast signalled by “However” helps the reader follow the argument, and the ideas generally progress logically. This meets the lower-band expectation of coherent organisation and shows some features of stronger progression. To make the links more precise and less mechanical, connect each example directly to the claim it supports. For instance, the family-transfer example could be tied explicitly to why digital payments may grow, while the final sentence should resolve the earlier uncertainty about whether cash will disappear. Some transitions between related points are abrupt.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use enough topic vocabulary to communicate the main ideas, including “cashless payment,” “transaction list,” “technical problems,” and “internet failures.” There are also attempts at more specific expressions, such as “control their spending.” However, the range is limited and several word-choice or collocation errors make the writing less natural: “technology has changed specially in payment method,” “track of sending by transaction list,” and “rapid digital growth” are unclear or awkward. Repetition of “payment” and “cash” also limits flexibility. Aim to use accurate, natural phrases such as “payment methods have changed,” “review transaction records,” and “the rapid growth of digital technology,” and check spelling and word forms.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a conditional example beginning “If your family member…” and a reason clause introduced by “because.” The overall meaning is usually understandable, but some errors in verb forms, agreement, articles, and sentence construction reduce accuracy. Examples include “cash will be disappear,” “In this essay will examine,” and “There are several factor why cashless payment become popular.” The conditional example also lacks a complete, well-formed opening clause. Work on forming complete subjects and verbs, using infinitives correctly after “will,” and matching singular and plural forms. More accurate control of these patterns would make your ideas clearer while preserving the range you are attempting.
