Student answer (Band 6.0)
In the coming years, the cash payment will not be accepted in the stores for the iems which individuals would buy. All expenses will be paid by credit cards or using mobile phones. I believe that almost all the payments will be done by using only cards in the future. In my opinion, many people may not be happy to use only cards for payments because they do not feels safe while paying online.
Using credit card for payments allow individuals to get a cashback and cary a thousands of dollars in small card. This is mainly because some credit cards offer a special discount on groceries, travels, accomodations, and other expenses. For example, American Express credit card gives a 15% cashback on every purchase. As a result, it will encourage people to use cards for all payments.
Old generations may not be excited because they find these types of payments are not safe and secure. This is because many old people might experience scams or frauds while paying online with help of cards. For instance, elder people pay money online for product in advance and they will not receive anything later, due to this they want to use cash money for expenses instead of using credit cards. Therefore, they will never feel happy or excited to give up using cash.
In conlcusion, although cashless payments offer several benefits, such as cashback rewards and convenience, some people, particularly older generations, may feel insecure about using them. I believe that electronic payments will become increasingly common in the future, but cash should remain available for those who prefer it.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
You address both parts of the question and make your position clear: you expect electronic payments to become increasingly common, while arguing that cash should remain available. The discussion of older people’s concerns about scams is relevant and supported with an example. However, the first body paragraph focuses mainly on the benefits of credit cards and how these encourage their use, rather than explaining why some people would be unhappy to give up cash. That part of the task is therefore less fully developed. To strengthen the response, explain further why cash matters to people who distrust digital systems—for example, privacy, budgeting, or limited access to banking—and connect each example directly to the question of abandoning cash altogether.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a clear overall structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs, and a conclusion. The progression from your prediction to the benefits of cards and then older people’s concerns is easy to follow, and linking phrases such as “For example,” “As a result,” and “In conclusion” help signal relationships between ideas. Some connections are less effective: the cashback paragraph supports the advantages of cards, but its link to why people might resist giving up cash is not made explicit. The repeated use of “This is because” also makes the cohesion somewhat mechanical. Make the purpose of each paragraph clearer and use referencing or varied transitions to show how each point answers the question.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “cashback,” “scams,” “frauds,” “cashless payments,” and “electronic payments,” so the main ideas are generally understandable. However, several noticeable spelling and word-choice errors reduce precision: “iems,” “cary,” “accomodations,” and “conlcusion” should be corrected, while “cash money” is an unnatural expression. Some combinations are also awkward, such as “cary a thousands of dollars in small card” and “pay money online for product in advance.” Aim for accurate, natural collocations and check spelling carefully. A broader range of precise terms for cashless transactions and people’s concerns would help you express the argument more flexibly.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and complex sentences, including clauses with “because,” “while,” and “although,” and the overall meaning remains clear. However, errors in agreement, verb forms, articles, and sentence construction are noticeable. For example, “they do not feels safe” should be “they do not feel safe,” and “Using credit card for payments allow” needs a plural or an article and a matching verb. In “elder people pay money … and they will not receive anything later,” the tense relationship is unclear. Practise checking subject–verb agreement, articles, and consistent tense choices, especially in longer sentences. More accurate control of these patterns would make your varied sentence forms easier to read.
