Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You address both parts of the prompt: you suggest that digital payments will become more common and explain that fear of scams may make people reluctant to abandon cash. However, your position on whether cash will eventually disappear is not fully clear. The introduction predicts that people will use digital money, while the conclusion mainly says people should adapt, without directly answering whether cash payments will no longer be possible. The discussion of convenience is relevant but focuses more on why people accept digital payments than on why some resist giving up cash. The examples are also brief and not clearly explained. The response is 11 words below the required minimum, and the final sentence is incomplete, so the argument needs further development.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion, and signposts such as “To start with” and “On the other hand” help show the intended structure. However, the progression is not consistently clear: the second body paragraph shifts from reasons people resist cashless payments to reasons they favour digital payments, without explicitly connecting this contrast to the question. Some linking phrases are mechanical or awkward, and the conclusion begins “To conclude with” but ends abruptly, leaving the final idea unfinished. Improve cohesion by giving each paragraph one clear purpose, using references that make the relationship between ideas explicit, and completing the conclusion with a direct summary of your position.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “digital payments,” “scammers,” “online payments,” and “convenient,” so the reader can follow the main subject. However, the range is limited and several inaccurate or misspelled expressions make the writing less clear, such as “tangible affect,” “loop holes,” “inoccent,” and “reliable on it.” Some phrases are also unnatural, including “traditional paying method” and “a easier and convenient of trading.” Aim for accurate collocations and check spelling carefully; for example, use “traditional payment methods,” “rely on online payments,” and “a more convenient way to pay.” More precise vocabulary for cash-related concerns, such as privacy or access to banking, would also help develop the response.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including the example introduced by “For example” and the clause beginning “which saves their time.” However, the range is limited, and complex structures are often faulty. Errors include “people not giving up on cash payments,” “Digital payments is,” and “It contribute,” where the verb forms do not agree with their subjects. Articles and sentence construction are also problematic in “a easier and convenient of trading,” while punctuation and spacing are inconsistent. The final sentence, “small thing have a great impact,” is incomplete in context and contains agreement problems. Practise building accurate sentences with clear subjects and verbs, then proofread agreement, articles, and punctuation.
