Student answer (Band 6.0)
Many people think that paying in cash at the stores will disappear in the future, and it will be replaced by cards or using phones. I concur with this notion because of the convenience of using cards, even if some people would not agree on this development in pay methods.
The main reason why paying with cards or using mobile is better than cash is convenience. People can purchase any item anywhere in the world they want without having to carry great deal of cash and jeopardiz their lives and afraid of being robbed. In other words, If any individual wants to buy a car for instance, he does not have to withdraw the money from the bank and head to the exhibition to pay. he can purchase any item with his bank card with ease in a few moments. This easy steps process encourages more people everyday to replace cash with cards or their cellphones to pay. which will lead in the future to the gradually disappearence of cash payments.
On the other hand, many senior citizens do not have the adequate knowledge to use the rapidly develop modern technology which make them prefer to deal with the traditional ways even in payment methods. To cite an example, many elderly using an old model of phone owing to the hardiness of learning in using smartphones and others having smart automobiles without knowing how to use it effectively. while they are in a store they could face an issue to know how to make an electronic payment, which could lead them to be frauded from someone who can make an advantage of their lack of knowledge. Therefore, they could not be happy to give up using what they are used to which is cash.
In conclusion, While using cash payments could be more effective for elderly who struggle from dealing with modern technology as cards and phones. These methods are more effective for the future and help people pay for any item anywhere effortless.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
Your position is clear: you expect cash to be replaced because electronic payments are convenient, while recognising that some people would resist the change. You address both parts of the question and support them with relevant examples, such as paying for a car by card and older people struggling with smartphones. The explanation of convenience is reasonably developed, but the prediction that cash will disappear is asserted more than explored; for example, you could explain why shops or governments would increasingly favour cashless systems. The point about elderly people is relevant, though the risk of fraud could be linked more clearly to why they would prefer cash. More balanced development and precise support would strengthen the response.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, one paragraph explaining the move towards electronic payments, a contrasting paragraph about older people, and a conclusion. The progression is generally easy to follow, and signposts such as “On the other hand” and “To cite an example” help identify the relationship between ideas. However, some connections are awkward or incomplete. The sentence beginning “This easy steps process” does not connect smoothly to the preceding explanation, and “which will lead…” is left as a fragment. The conclusion also begins with “While” but does not complete a clear contrast. Use linking phrases more selectively and ensure each sentence is grammatically complete and clearly tied to the paragraph’s main point.
Lexical Resource: Band 6.0
You use an adequate range of vocabulary for the topic, including “convenience,” “traditional ways,” “electronic payment,” and “lack of knowledge.” These choices make the main ideas understandable, and you attempt some less common expressions. However, several word choices, collocations, and spelling forms are inaccurate or unnatural, such as “jeopardiz their lives,” “hardiness of learning,” “be frauded,” and “gradually disappearence.” “Modern technology” is also described as “rapidly develop,” which does not fit the intended meaning. These errors do not prevent understanding, but they reduce precision and naturalness. Focus on accurate word forms and common collocations, especially when explaining risks and technological change.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt a mix of simple and complex structures, including conditional phrasing (“If any individual wants to buy a car…”) and a contrast introduced by “while.” The overall meaning is usually clear, but some grammatical errors and punctuation problems remain. For example, “he can purchase” begins a new sentence with a lowercase letter, while “which will lead…” is a sentence fragment. In “many elderly using an old model,” the clause needs a finite verb, and “technology which make them prefer” has a subject–verb agreement error. The conclusion’s opening “While using cash payments could be more effective…” is also incomplete as a contrast. Check sentence boundaries, verb agreement, and clause completeness while retaining your attempts at complex sentences.
