Student answer (Band 6.0)

In this digital era, people like to make digital transactions, when they purchase any items. In this essay I will give reasons behind this and discuss why will not stop using cash.

To begin with, I believe one day payers will definitely use more cards compared to cash. This is because digital payments are more effecttively safer compared to physical money. This is because nowadays, crimes are rasing an alarmingly rate and unemployed people do felonies because they do not have money and work. For example, if a person carry smartphones or cards, there are much less possibility of getting cheat. They can set up password, so they can save themselves from criminals. Moreover, virtual payments are more convenient, customers do not need to carry their wallets. Also, it helps them to do online shopping because many popular companies provide various kind of discounts and deals to selected credit card users. As a result, mostly youngsters do not prefer to use hard money.

There are plethora of reasons why people will not like to give up using physical currencies. The first one is that digital currency is not reliable. Dwellers who lives in the remote area, they cannot completely relies on internet for payments. Many countyside palces do not have internet facilities. Furthermore, olders people are not able to use smartphones because they do not have technical knowledge and internet to learn. For instance, according to survey, it found that 90 percent old people become victims of online frauds. Hence, they always carry physical money, when they go for shopping.

In conclusin, due to advancement of technology people will use virtual money bacause they get numerous offers and cashbacks. While without internet outskirts people cannot able to use their cards and other transactions, as a result they will not give up on using cash.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5

You address both parts of the question: you predict greater use of cards and phones, and explain why some people may retain cash. Your position is clear in the introduction and conclusion, and the points about convenience, online discounts, limited internet access and older people are relevant. Examples such as remote communities and online fraud help support the discussion. However, the prediction that cash may disappear is not fully distinguished from the claim that digital payments will become more common; the essay mainly argues for increased use, while the question asks whether cash will no longer be usable in shops. Some support is also underdeveloped, particularly the link between unemployment, crime and payment methods. Clarifying the prediction and extending that reasoning would make the response more complete and persuasive.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5

The response has a clear overall structure, with an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two main sides, and a conclusion. Sequencing phrases such as “To begin with,” “Moreover,” and “Furthermore” make the progression easy to follow, and the contrast between digital payments and cash is generally clear. This organisation is effective, though some linking is mechanical or repetitive: “This is because” appears twice close together, and “As a result” is used for conclusions that are not always fully established. Some references are also unclear, as in “they always carry physical money,” where the group is understandable but could be named directly. Use a wider range of natural links and make cause-and-effect connections more explicit to improve flow.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use a relevant range of vocabulary for the topic, including “digital transactions,” “remote area,” “technical knowledge,” “online frauds” and “cashbacks.” These choices show an attempt to use topic-specific and less common language. However, noticeable spelling, word-form and collocation problems sometimes make the expression awkward, for example “effecttively safer,” “crimes are rasing an alarmingly rate,” “getting cheat,” and “hard money.” There are also imprecise choices such as “digital currency” when you mean digital payment methods. These errors do not prevent the reader from understanding your main points, but they limit precision and naturalness. Focus on accurate collocations and check spelling and word forms when editing.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

You attempt both simple and complex sentence forms, including clauses introduced by “because,” “if” and “while,” and most of the argument remains understandable. Some sentences are controlled, such as “Moreover, virtual payments are more convenient, customers do not need to carry their wallets,” although this example would benefit from a clearer grammatical link between its clauses. There are some errors in verb forms, agreement, articles and sentence construction: “why will not stop using cash,” “Dwellers who lives,” and “they cannot completely relies” are examples. The conclusion also contains an incomplete construction in “people cannot able to use.” Review subject–verb agreement and modal patterns, and punctuate or join clauses carefully. More consistently accurate complex sentences would strengthen the response.
