IELTS Writing Task 1 question

The parents of your Australian friend Chris have invited you to a surprise birthday party for him/her. Write a letter to Chris's parents. In your letter:

• say why you think Chris will enjoy the surprise party
• explain why you won't be able to attend the party
• give details of a plan to see Chris at a different time

You do NOT need to write any addresses.

Begin your letter as follows:

Dear Mr and Mrs Collins,

Thank you so much for inviting me to celebrate Chris birthday party. I am sure its a very special day for him to celebrate with family members and close friends. it will be a memorable moment for him to remember forever. memories stays with us never lost.

Unfortunately, I will not be able to attend his birthday party because i have some important meeting with my clients in my office who is visiting from Canada which i cannot postpone for my new project.

However, I have already spoke to Chris and informed about my busy scheduled for this week. I hope we can celebrate his birthday next week in his favorite restaurant which is in downtown. I have also invited some his friends and my family members.

Please pass my warm wishes to Chris. I hope all have some fantastic time to celebrate together.
