Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5

You have addressed all three bullet points of the task: explaining why Chris will enjoy the party, stating your inability to attend, and proposing an alternative meeting. The tone is generally appropriate for a letter to a friend's parents, although it leans slightly informal. The ideas are relevant and clear, though the development of the alternative plan is a bit vague. To improve, ensure you provide more specific details about the alternative meeting, such as a suggested date or activity, to fully satisfy the requirement of 'giving details'.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The letter follows a logical structure, with a clear opening and closing. You use some basic cohesive devices like 'Firstly' and 'In last', though the latter is non-standard. Paragraphing is present, but the transition between the explanation of the absence and the alternative plan could be smoother. Some referencing is slightly unclear, such as 'these kind of party', which lacks a clear antecedent. Improving the use of linking words and ensuring consistent paragraph structure will help you achieve a higher band.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

You have an adequate range of vocabulary to convey your message, but there are several instances of awkward phrasing and word choice errors, such as 'for say thank to invite me' instead of 'to thank you for inviting me' and 'I would be planed a meeting' instead of 'I would like to plan a meeting'. The use of 'u' is inappropriate for a formal or semi-formal letter and should be avoided. Expanding your vocabulary to include more precise collocations would enhance your writing.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

There is a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but the accuracy is inconsistent. You frequently omit necessary articles and prepositions, and there are errors in verb tense and subject-verb agreement, such as 'I'll not able to' and 'he will loved'. Punctuation is also problematic, particularly with the misuse of commas and the informal use of 'u'. To reach a higher band, focus on mastering basic sentence construction and proofreading for common grammatical errors like tense consistency.
