Student answer (Band 6.0)
In recent years, individuals preference of fitness has been changed. They prefere to hire a fitness trainer rather than spending time at a sports ground. From my perspective, people usually do it when they do not have enough knowledge and support from their peers. Individuals motive is to keep themselves fit. Fitness clubs often fulfill their demands. This essay will outline the reasons and the impact of this development.
To begin, there are several reasons why people do not want to spend time at a sports ground. The first and foremost reason is weather constraint. Many countries such as Canada and Russia have extensive winters and in such harsh conditions, playing outdoor games is almost impossible. For example, a group of people who love to play cricket are required to have dry field. Furthermore, some people find it easy and more convenient to join a gym than requesting other friends to come for a game. They often find it challenging to invite every team members at a time.
Furthermore, fitness centers such as Gym and Yoga help residents to stay fit. Fitness trainers often have deeper knowledge and understanding about exercises. They suggest individuals to do exercise according to their goals. They also share knowledge about food intake after the exercise so body can recover quickly. For instance, running on a tredmills can increase their strength and food suggestions from a trainer may help them to achieve strength and fitness quicker.
To sum up, fitness centers and sports grounds are mean to improve individuals health. It is individuals choice whether they find it easy to play a game with their friends or they face challenges at a ground. I personally consider fitness centers and trainers are good replacement of sports game in order to maintain fitness.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address both parts of the question: you give reasons for hiring trainers, including weather constraints and the convenience of exercising without organising a group, and you indicate that you view trainers and fitness centres positively. The points about trainers’ exercise and food advice also support this position. However, the discussion of why people choose personal trainers over sports or classes is not always precise: the opening refers to a lack of knowledge and peer support, but this idea is not developed clearly in the body. The positive-versus-negative judgement is mainly implied and is not weighed against possible disadvantages. Develop the reasons more fully and state your evaluation directly, with a specific example showing why this is beneficial overall.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a clear overall structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion. Sequencing phrases such as “To begin,” “Furthermore” and “To sum up” help readers follow the main stages, and the examples generally appear alongside the points they illustrate. However, the progression is sometimes mechanical, and the relationship between ideas is not always clear. For example, the second body paragraph shifts from the convenience of gyms to trainers’ expertise without explicitly connecting these as reasons for choosing personal training. The conclusion also repeats the general contrast rather than clearly synthesising the reasons and your positive judgement. Use more precise links between claims and examples, and make each paragraph’s central point explicit.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use a relevant range of topic vocabulary, including “weather constraint,” “fitness trainers,” “food intake” and “recover quickly,” which allows you to discuss exercise and training. There are also attempts at more specific language, such as “extensive winters.” However, several word choices and collocations are inaccurate or unnatural, including “individuals preference of fitness,” “sports ground,” “deeper knowledge” and “replacement of sports game.” Spelling errors such as “prefere” and “tredmills” also reduce accuracy. These issues do not prevent the reader from understanding the main ideas, but they limit precision and naturalness. Build a bank of common collocations for fitness and personal training, and check spelling and word forms during revision.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You use both simple and more developed sentence forms, including clauses introduced by “when,” “who” and “whether.” Most of the message remains understandable, and the response has some control of sentence boundaries. However, some errors in agreement, articles, possessives and sentence construction remain. For example, “Individuals motive” needs a possessive form, “every team members” has a number-agreement problem, and “so body can recover quickly” is missing an article. The opening sentence, “individuals preference of fitness has been changed,” also has an awkward grammatical construction. Practise checking noun phrases and subject–verb agreement, and revise each sentence for complete, natural structures. Greater accuracy across these patterns would make your ideas easier to follow.
