Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 7.5

You have addressed all parts of the prompt, identifying reasons for the rise of personal trainers and discussing whether this is a positive or negative development. Your position is clear throughout the essay. The ideas are relevant, such as the impact of sedentary desk jobs and the convenience of professional guidance. However, the development of these ideas could be more nuanced; for instance, the discussion on the negative aspects of losing social interaction through sports is a good point but could be expanded further to reach a higher band. Overall, the response is well-structured and directly answers the question.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 7.0

The essay is logically organized with a clear introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. You use cohesive devices such as 'At the same time', 'On the other hand', and 'To conclude' to guide the reader. However, some transitions feel slightly mechanical, and there are instances where the flow between sentences could be smoother. For example, the transition between the rise of health awareness and the demand for trainers could be more fluid. Paragraphing is used appropriately, and each paragraph has a clear central topic, which helps maintain the overall coherence of the argument.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.5

You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'technological revolution', 'sedentary', and 'professional guidance'. There are some minor errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'hactict' (spelling), 'seating hours' (should be 'sitting hours'), and 'metal and physical health' (should be 'mental'). While you attempt to use less common vocabulary, some inaccuracies persist. To improve, focus on refining your collocations and ensuring that your spelling is accurate, as these minor slips prevent the vocabulary from reaching a higher, more sophisticated level.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.5

You use a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, which is appropriate for this task. There are several grammatical errors, such as 'cause lesser time' (should be 'leave less time'), 'resulting more working professional' (should be 'resulting in more working professionals'), and 'Personal trainers has become' (subject-verb agreement error). While these errors are noticeable, they do not impede the overall communication of your ideas. To reach a higher band, focus on subject-verb agreement and the correct use of prepositions and articles, as well as ensuring that complex sentence structures are punctuated correctly.
