Student answer (Band 7.0)
In recent decade, the way people live and think has drastically changed. In such scenario, large group of individuals prefer personal tranings rather then playing sports which has plethora of issues. This eassy will discuss the plausible causes and suggest whaether it is beneficial or ardous in the ensuing paragraphs.
On the one hand, there are numerous factors for choosing personal coach.Firstly, having a trainner provides customized service by specifically priortizing on the required strength and weakness as per the requirement of the body especially allowing to adjust as per the person's schedule. Secondly, coach provides traning as per the physical condition of the human body targetting the particular muscles and area along with guidance on appropriate safety hazards and weight lifting. For example, as per the Newyork Times report majority of gym injuries are due to lack of knowledge on use of instruments without revelant guidance. Ergo, this aids in flexible and time saving method to stay fit as a fiddle.
On the other hand, practising sports not onlt facilitates over-all health but also instil skills like communication, team spirit, perseverance which assit in professional as well as personal life.Admittedly, with the advent of technology people can gain these skills through many online platforms. Nevertheless, private traning sessions focuses on distintive features as per the individual time and endurance.
To conclude, Although group sessions helps to impart holistic development of an individual, I consider that having a personanlized teacher is positive development as it leads to stress free and convinent mode of staying active.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 7.0
The response addresses all parts of the prompt, identifying reasons for hiring personal trainers and providing a clear position that it is a positive development. The ideas are relevant, such as the focus on customized training and safety. However, the development of these ideas is somewhat limited; for instance, the comparison between personal training and sports could be more deeply explored. The essay maintains a consistent position throughout, though the explanation of why it is 'positive' relies heavily on the convenience factor rather than a broader analysis of societal impacts. Overall, the task is addressed adequately.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 7.0
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, with a clear introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'On the one hand', 'Firstly', 'Secondly', and 'To conclude'. However, some transitions feel slightly mechanical, and there are instances where the flow between sentences could be smoother. For example, the transition between the discussion of gym injuries and the conclusion of that paragraph is a bit abrupt. Referencing is generally clear, and the paragraphing is appropriate for the task, ensuring the reader can follow the writer's argument without significant difficulty.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.5
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, with some attempts at more sophisticated language like 'plethora', 'arduous', and 'holistic'. However, there are several spelling errors ('tranings', 'trainner', 'priortizing', 'traning', 'revelant', 'personanlized', 'convinent') and some awkward collocations ('ardous' used incorrectly for 'arduous', 'safety hazards' used in a context where 'injury prevention' would be more accurate). While the range is sufficient to convey meaning, the frequency of spelling mistakes and minor word-choice inaccuracies prevents a higher score.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.5
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. There are several grammatical errors, such as missing articles ('In recent decade', 'majority of gym injuries'), incorrect preposition usage, and subject-verb agreement issues ('group sessions helps'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with spacing after commas and periods. While these errors do not impede communication, they are frequent enough to be noticeable. To reach a higher band, the student should focus on proofreading for basic grammatical accuracy and ensuring consistent use of articles and verb forms.
