Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 250 words, as it is only 169 words long. This significantly impacts the development of ideas, as the conclusion is incomplete and the discussion of whether this is a positive or negative development is underdeveloped. While you identified reasons for the trend, such as 'quick results' and 'flexibility', the argument regarding whether this is a positive or negative development is not fully explored or supported. To improve, you must ensure you write at least 250 words to allow for a full, balanced discussion of all parts of the prompt.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay uses basic paragraphing and some cohesive devices like 'To begin with', 'In others words', and 'Therefore'. However, the progression of ideas is hindered by the incomplete nature of the text. The conclusion is cut off mid-sentence, which disrupts the overall coherence of the response. To improve, ensure that each paragraph has a clear topic sentence and that you provide a complete, well-structured conclusion that summarizes your main points and restates your position clearly.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks the range and precision required for higher bands. There are some errors in word choice and form, such as 'such condition' instead of 'such a trend' and 'loose' instead of 'lose'. You rely on relatively simple vocabulary throughout. To achieve a higher score, try to incorporate more precise, topic-specific vocabulary related to fitness and health, and ensure you use words in their correct grammatical form.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0

The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. Examples include 'personal fitness coach helps' (should be plural or have an article), 'they are provide' (incorrect passive voice), and 'such amenities are solely available, when' (incorrect comma usage). The incomplete final sentence also affects the grammatical integrity of the piece. Focus on subject-verb agreement and consistent verb tense usage to improve your accuracy.
