Student answer (Band 6.0)

In this contemporary era, masses tend to play less sports and do any physical exercise because they are more focused to get a personal coach who give in house training. The forthcoming paragraphs will elaborate on the reasons as well as try to tell whether it s a positive or a negative development.

To begin with, there are numerous reasons to support the above statement. Firstly, people are getting personal trainers because they are leading a very busy life and sometimes, do two jobs so do not have an enough time to go to Gym and any other recreation centre but to remain fit they choose this idea. Secondly, it saves a lot of commuting time, fuel as well as energy to go from one location to another. Thirdly, the prominent one is that it gives job to so many people who want to earn good money and they are able to do home to home service. For instance: In Canada, about 75% inhabitants try to get a personal physical coach to save some time.

Futhermore, it is negative development and the reason behid that is, when people go to the facilities to do exercise or play any sport, they interact with other persons which is very good for the social well being. Moreover, they can share their ideas to remain fit that others can also try. Other than that, it is a loss for the Gym places if more and more people try to get in house trainers.

To conclude, hiring a ersonal coach is not a problem for sometime but if it will go like this than in future may be there will be less fitness facilities as well as recreation centre available for the people who like to go there to balance their social life.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response addresses all parts of the prompt, identifying reasons for the trend and providing a clear opinion on whether it is a negative development. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. For instance, the point about job creation for trainers is a relevant reason, but the example provided regarding '75% of inhabitants in Canada' lacks credibility and feels forced. The discussion on the negative aspects is also quite brief. To reach a higher band, you should expand on your arguments with more detailed explanations and more realistic, well-integrated examples rather than relying on unsupported statistics.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, and there is a clear progression of ideas. You use basic cohesive devices such as 'To begin with', 'Firstly', 'Secondly', and 'Furthermore' to link your points. However, the use of these devices is sometimes mechanical, and the flow between sentences could be smoother. Referencing is generally clear, though some transitions feel a bit repetitive. The paragraphing is appropriate, but the concluding paragraph is slightly underdeveloped and could better summarize the main points discussed in the body paragraphs.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

The vocabulary is adequate for the task, allowing you to express your ideas clearly. You use some topic-specific terms like 'recreation centre', 'in-house training', and 'social well-being'. However, there are several instances of awkward word choice and minor errors, such as 'masses tend to play less sports' (should be 'fewer sports') and 'do any physical exercise' (should be 'do physical exercise'). There are also some spelling errors like 'Futhermore' and 'behid'. To improve, focus on using more precise collocations and ensure you proofread for basic spelling and word-form accuracy.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

You demonstrate a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text. Examples include 'focused to get' (should be 'focused on getting'), 'who give in house training' (should be 'who provide in-house training'), and 'it gives job to so many people' (should be 'it provides jobs for many people'). Additionally, there are issues with article usage and subject-verb agreement. While these errors do not prevent the reader from understanding your message, they occur frequently enough to limit the score. Focus on mastering basic sentence construction and subject-verb agreement.
