Student answer (Band 5.0)

Hiring a personal fitness trainer is increasingly popular than playing a spot or doing exercise by themselves in few nations. I think it’s a positive development and the reason can be to focus on a particular goal with the perfect diet and the schedule.

First of all hiring, a personal trainer is the best choice for the people who are trying to be a Fitness freak. In addition to that hiring a personal trainer will give you a proper schedule and a diet to follow the exercise as they want they will check your body and depending on that a trainer will give the routine to follow. for instance, we can see people who are doing exercise by their own R get more into the obesity or other types of body problems as they do not know how to follow a proper fitness routine.

Furthermore, hiring a personal trainer will check on the individuals daily of their progress. This kind of things makes more easy for training to get in the shape or to get a physical fitness The individual want. For instance, it can be seen as a positive development from the graphs from the articles that hiring a trainer is more beneficial to get in the shape and follow diet without a side effect.

In conclusion, hiring a personal trainer is more beneficial than playing sports or joining exercise classes for own good. I think it is a positive development to be passionate in Fitness.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response addresses both parts of the prompt: reasons for the trend and the evaluation of whether it is positive or negative. However, the development is limited. The arguments regarding 'proper schedules' and 'monitoring progress' are repetitive and lack depth. The word count is 247, which falls just short of the 250-word minimum, leading to a penalty. The ideas are presented but not fully extended with specific, convincing examples; the reference to 'graphs from the articles' is vague and does not serve as a strong supporting example. To improve, you should expand on the benefits of professional guidance versus the drawbacks of self-training with more concrete detail.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay is organised into paragraphs, but the logical flow is often hindered by awkward phrasing and mechanical transitions. While you use 'First of all', 'In addition', and 'Furthermore', these are used somewhat repetitively. The referencing is occasionally unclear, such as in the sentence 'This kind of things makes more easy for training to get in the shape', where the pronoun reference is imprecise. Paragraphing is present, but the internal structure of the paragraphs lacks a clear progression of thought, making the argument feel somewhat disjointed. Improving the variety of cohesive devices and ensuring clear links between sentences would significantly enhance the readability.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is generally basic and repetitive. You rely on simple phrases like 'get in the shape' and 'do exercise', which lack the precision required for higher bands. There are also issues with word choice and collocation, such as 'trying to be a Fitness freak' (informal/inaccurate) and 'get more into the obesity' (unnatural). While the meaning is generally clear, the range is limited, and there is little evidence of less common lexical items or idiomatic language. To improve, focus on learning topic-specific collocations related to health and fitness, such as 'tailored fitness regimen' or 'professional supervision'.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay contains frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede the flow of reading. There are issues with article usage ('a spot', 'the exercise'), subject-verb agreement, and sentence structure (e.g., 'hiring, a personal trainer is the best choice'). The sentence structures are mostly simple or contain errors when attempting complexity, such as 'depending on that a trainer will give the routine to follow'. Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with comma placement. To reach a higher band, you need to demonstrate better control over complex sentence structures and ensure that basic grammatical rules, such as pluralisation and article usage, are applied consistently.
