Student answer (Band 6.5)
Nowadays more and more individuals are paying money for personal fitness trainers instead of participating in sports and doing exercises. I believe this is a positive development overall because private trainers provide specialized guidance and greater motivation to exercise consistently.
The major advantage of this trend is individualized guidance from personal trainers .This means that personal trainer creates the exercise routine based on the the person's lifestyle ,age ,fitness level and physical condition. As a result, people may achieve results faster than exercising at home .For example, person who wants to lose weight can receive a customized
workout and diet plan rather than attending group classes.
The second significant reason is that private trainer boost motivation . To explicate it, some people find it difficult to exercise by their own as well as they may not know how to perform a exercise correctly .Therefore, personal guider assist and encourage their clients and make them feel responsible to attend sessions regularly .trainer assist them to correct the techniques and reduce the risk of injury . In my opinion , although paying a private trainer may expensive for some individuals, its advantages outweighs the financial aspect of this trend. As it provides customized work plan and motivation .
In conclusion, the growing popularity of personal trainers is driven by personalized guidance and inspiration they provide, Although ,this form of exercise can be expensive ,I believe it is positive development because people can exercise more safely and consistently.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
The response addresses all parts of the prompt, identifying reasons for the trend (individualized guidance and motivation) and clearly stating a position that it is a positive development. The ideas are relevant and supported with examples, such as the mention of customized diet plans and the psychological benefit of accountability. However, the development of these ideas is somewhat limited; the explanation of why this is a 'positive' development could be more nuanced by considering potential drawbacks or broader societal implications. The position is consistent throughout, though the conclusion is slightly repetitive of the introduction. Overall, the response meets the requirements of the task well.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is logically organized into clear paragraphs, each with a central theme. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'The major advantage,' 'The second significant reason,' and 'In conclusion,' which help guide the reader. However, some transitions are mechanical or slightly awkward, such as 'To explicate it' and 'As it provides customized work plan.' Additionally, there are minor issues with punctuation, specifically spacing before periods (e.g., 'trainers .This'). While the progression of ideas is generally clear, the use of cohesive devices could be more varied and natural to achieve a higher band score.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, allowing the writer to express ideas clearly. There is some attempt to use topic-specific vocabulary like 'customized workout,' 'specialized guidance,' and 'physical condition.' However, the range is somewhat limited, and there are instances of imprecise word choice or awkward phrasing, such as 'folks who paid a huge chunks of money' and 'personal guider.' The repetition of basic terms like 'personal trainer' and 'exercise' suggests a need for more synonyms and a wider range of collocations to demonstrate greater flexibility.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are frequent grammatical errors, particularly with articles ('the the person's'), subject-verb agreement ('trainer boost motivation'), and sentence fragments ('As it provides customized work plan and motivation'). Some sentences are also slightly ungrammatical, such as 'folks who paid a huge chunks of money... will more likely to attend.' These errors are noticeable and occur throughout the text, though they do not prevent the reader from understanding the main points. More attention to proofreading for basic grammatical accuracy is needed.
