Student answer (Band 6.5)
There is an increasing trend regarding requiting personal fitness trainer over engaging in various physical activity such as playing sports or group exercise sessions. Such trend exist due to lack of flexible routines and personalised goals of individuals. I believe it is a positive shift.
The first and the foremost reason for choosing personal couch is flexibility and freedom to select the timing of sessions. Owing to hectic work routines many people struggle to spare time for physical activity and exercises, in that case having a personal fitness instructor can be feasible. Secondly, different individuals have different fitness and health goals, for them personal training sessions can bring more advantages rather than playing sports or doing group exercises. For instance, an individual who is struggling with hormonal disorders including PCOD, thyroid disorders and obesity would like to be opt for personal trainer for tailored exercise programme and to achieve their goals faster.
Such trend are not only beneficial for individuals but also for the fitness professionals. The undivided personal attention of a trainer during the exercise session enhances the accuracy of movements and reduce risk of injury. As a result of that clients feel confident and their adherence to exercise routine increases. In addition to that it boost opportunities for fitness trainer, potentially raise their income as well. As an example, personal trainer charge more for individual sessions compare with group classes.
In conclusion, although group classes and playing a sports can be engaging and fun. However, the majority of people prefer to higher a personal trainer due to its flexibility and to achieve their goals faster, moreover, it contributes to increase revenue of fitness instructors.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
The response addresses both parts of the prompt: the reasons for the trend and the evaluation of whether it is a positive or negative development. The ideas are relevant and generally well-supported, such as the mention of flexibility and tailored health goals. However, the development of the 'positive or negative' aspect is slightly thin; while you state it is a positive shift, the arguments focus more on the benefits to the trainer and the client's physical safety rather than a broader societal impact. To reach a higher band, ensure that your position is consistently maintained and that the implications of the trend are explored with more depth.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is logically organized into paragraphs, each with a clear central theme. You use some cohesive devices like 'first and the foremost,' 'secondly,' and 'in addition to that' to link ideas. However, some transitions are slightly mechanical or awkward, such as the sentence starting with 'As a result of that' or the concluding sentence which contains a grammatical error that disrupts the flow ('Although... However...'). Improving the variety and naturalness of your linking words will help the essay read more smoothly. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate the reasons from the evaluation.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, including terms like 'hormonal disorders,' 'tailored exercise programme,' and 'adherence.' However, there are several instances of incorrect word choice or word form errors that hinder precision, such as 'requiting' instead of 'recruiting' or 'hiring,' 'personal couch' instead of 'coach,' and 'higher' instead of 'hire.' These errors are noticeable but do not prevent the reader from understanding your meaning. To improve, focus on learning the correct collocations and word forms for common professional and academic contexts.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While you attempt complex sentences, there are frequent grammatical errors, particularly with subject-verb agreement ('Such trend exist,' 'Such trend are') and article usage ('a personal fitness trainer,' 'the majority of people'). Additionally, there are punctuation and sentence structure issues, such as the fragment in the conclusion where you use 'Although' and 'However' in the same sentence. While these errors do not impede communication, they occur frequently enough to limit the score. Focus on proofreading for basic agreement and sentence boundary errors.
