Student answer (Band 6.0)

In recent years, In some nations, a lot of people are hiring a personal fitness trainer, instead of playing outdoor games or doing exercise. It has become increasingly common. There are several reasons behind this development, including due to lack of information about fitness and fear of getting judged. In my opinion, I believe this is a positive development, because they can start working on their body with under a good guidance.

There are several factors that have contributed to this trend. The first and most important reason is nowadays people don't have a good amount of information. As a result they prefer to hire a professional trainer which can guide them for exercise as well in their diet. For example, after doing a good workout they will have a good guidance what to eat less with a good protein so that it will be benefit for them.

Another significant reason is that if they are doing exercise by their own but in a wrong way, so people will make fun of them. Which can demotivate them. The reason for this they prefer to the exercise in a private space instead of doing in public space.

I believe that this a positive development for several reasons by doing exercise in private under a good instruction can always build their motivation to pursue with exercise and also they can get a benefit of having a good diet information simultaneously

In conclusion, getting individual trainer is mainly caused by lack of information and motivation. Overall, i concider this is a positive development as you are getting confident and getting 2 benefits at a same time.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response addresses both parts of the prompt: the reasons for the trend and the evaluation of whether it is positive or negative. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. The reasons provided—lack of information and fear of judgment—are relevant but remain superficial. The explanation regarding 'fear of being judged' is repetitive and lacks depth. While a position is clear, the supporting arguments could be more thoroughly extended with specific examples or more nuanced reasoning to reach a higher band. The conclusion is brief and summarizes the main points adequately.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, and there is a clear progression of ideas. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'The first and most important reason' and 'Another significant reason,' which help guide the reader. However, some transitions are mechanical or slightly awkward, such as 'The reason for this they prefer to the exercise.' Additionally, referencing is occasionally unclear, and some sentences are fragmented or lack smooth connectivity. While the overall structure is coherent, the use of cohesive devices is not always flexible or natural.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks variety and precision. There is a reliance on basic terms like 'good,' 'a lot of,' and 'things.' Phrases such as 'a good amount of information' and 'a good workout' are repetitive and imprecise. There are some attempts at more specific vocabulary, but these are often used with minor inaccuracies in collocation. To improve, you should aim for a wider range of topic-specific vocabulary related to health and fitness, and avoid repeating simple adjectives.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. However, there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede the flow of reading. Examples include 'doing exercise by their own,' 'Which can demotivate them' (a sentence fragment), and 'getting individual trainer is mainly caused by.' There are also issues with article usage and prepositional phrases. While the meaning is generally clear, the frequency of these errors prevents the writing from reaching a higher band. More attention to subject-verb agreement and sentence construction is needed.
