Student answer (Band 6.5)
It has been noticed that in many nations, the habits of individuals related to fitness have changed drastically. Instead of playing sports and engaging in physical activities, people prefer to hire a certified personal trainer. I view this as a positive trend for society because of multiple reasons.
To commence with, the majority of people who are hiring fitness coaches either they lack fitness knowledge or they have a particular time-based fitness goal. Certified trainers are often popular for their diverse knowledge in physical fitness such as in exercises and diet plans. People who have demanding schedule or limited mobility usually hires a personal trainers for their convenience. For instance, if we have any bone injury, it is often recomended by doctors to hire a professional physiotherapist to escalate the mobility and recovery of an injured joint or bone. Morover, sometimes people need certain physical transformation and this can be either personal or professional. Individuals often wants to reduce or gain weight for their special occasions such as wedding. Similarly, some professionals such as actors or models often need to cut weight or build muscles as per their role or shoot requirements.
However, this is a positive shift for the society, since it provide employment opportunities to the population. In today's competetive world, such opportunities can help the young generation to build their career. Along with, it also helps people to get professional guidance to meet their goals. Similarly, a personal fitness trainer can help senior citizens or a busy individual to stay active and fit conventiently, from the comfort of their home. If individuals have extra time, especially the young generation, they should involve themselves in playing sports because with fitness it also helps them to build essential life skills such as teamwork and harmony.
To sum up, hiring a fitness expert can bring clarity and efficiency in acheiving a personal health goal. This trend also bring career opportunities for many individuals. Nevertheless, if people have time and energy, they should try to spend it in the playground while playing or exercising.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 7.0
The response addresses all parts of the prompt, identifying reasons for the trend and providing a clear opinion on whether it is positive or negative. The ideas are relevant, such as the convenience of trainers for those with injuries or busy schedules, and the economic benefits of the profession. However, the development of these ideas is somewhat uneven. For instance, the transition between the reasons for hiring trainers and the discussion of the 'positive' nature of the trend could be more seamless. While the position is clear throughout, the support for the 'positive' argument is slightly less detailed than the reasons for the trend itself. Overall, the task is well-addressed.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is logically organized into clear paragraphs, each with a distinct focus. Cohesive devices such as 'To commence with', 'For instance', and 'To sum up' are used to guide the reader. However, there are instances where the flow is slightly mechanical, and some transitions between sentences feel abrupt, such as the jump from discussing personal trainers to the benefits of sports for the young generation in the third paragraph. Referencing is generally clear, but some minor improvements in the use of linking words would enhance the overall flow and make the progression of ideas more sophisticated.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, allowing the writer to express ideas clearly. There is an attempt to use topic-specific vocabulary like 'physical transformation', 'professional guidance', and 'escalate the mobility'. However, there are several spelling errors, such as 'recomended', 'Morover', 'competetive', and 'conventiently'. Additionally, some word choices are slightly imprecise, such as 'escalate the mobility' (improve/enhance would be more natural). While the range is sufficient to convey meaning, the frequent spelling mistakes and occasional awkward collocations prevent a higher score in this criterion.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The essay demonstrates a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. There are several grammatical errors that occur throughout the text, such as subject-verb agreement issues ('usually hires a personal trainers', 'Individuals often wants') and incorrect sentence construction ('the majority of people who are hiring fitness coaches either they lack...'). While these errors do not impede communication, they are frequent enough to be noticeable. The punctuation is generally functional, but the control over complex structures is inconsistent. Increasing the accuracy of basic subject-verb agreement and refining complex sentence construction would significantly improve the score.
