Student answer (Band 5.5)

In some countries, more and more people are hiring a personal fitness trainer, rather than playing sports or doing exercise classes and i agree with this statement and i would like share my opinion in next paragraph.

Firstly, There are several reasons for hiring a personal fitness trainer. Nowadays people are working dawn to dusk to fulfill their dreams and the reason is that they dont have too much time for exercise classes and playing sports and that's reason that they are hired a personal fitness trainer. In today's generation everybody want a fit and healthy lifestyle. So, they can do anything for that. Moreover to that, they can pay extra money for personal fitness trainer rather than doing exercise which is not good thing. A personal trainer have different types of diet plan also they gave diet list for fitness journey.

On the other hand, Playing sports or doing exercise classes is also more important but people dont like to join exercise classes. furthermore, they can play sports activities during their leisure time which is good foe them and their life style. Because the reason is that they can spend time with their friends or family members and also it is good option for their fitness journey. Playing sports such as badminton, cricket as well as football kind of activities people can feel peace and also enjoy this activities with their friends and family members. For Example, Sports Like cricket is fun activities which is very famous sports in my countries.

In conclusion, Every coin has two side as i am agree that people are hiring a personal trainer rather than doing exercise or plying sports and this is a totally negative development in some countries which is not good for people.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response addresses both parts of the prompt: reasons for hiring a personal trainer and an evaluation of whether this is positive or negative. However, the development of ideas is limited. The reasons provided, such as time constraints, are mentioned but not fully explored or supported with specific evidence. The conclusion states that the trend is a 'totally negative development,' but the body paragraphs do not clearly justify this stance, as the arguments regarding the benefits of sports are somewhat disjointed from the overall position. To improve, ensure that each paragraph provides a clear, logical link between the reasons and your final evaluation.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay is organised into paragraphs, but the logical progression is often interrupted by awkward phrasing and repetitive sentence structures. While some cohesive devices are used, such as 'Firstly' and 'Moreover,' they are sometimes applied mechanically or incorrectly. Referencing is occasionally unclear, such as in the second paragraph where the link between working 'dawn to dusk' and hiring a trainer is stated but not smoothly connected. The transition between the benefits of sports and the conclusion is abrupt, making the overall flow of the argument difficult to follow at times.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks the range and precision required for a higher band. There is a reliance on basic, repetitive phrasing such as 'good thing,' 'good option,' and 'fitness journey.' Some word choices are imprecise, such as 'they are hired a personal fitness trainer' (should be 'they hire') and 'everybody want' (should be 'everybody wants'). To achieve a higher score, you should aim to incorporate more varied, topic-specific vocabulary and ensure correct word forms and collocations are used consistently throughout the essay.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay contains a mix of simple and some attempted complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. Common issues include subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'A personal trainer have,' 'everybody want'), incorrect verb tenses, and missing articles. Punctuation is also inconsistent, with several run-on sentences and incorrect comma usage. While the meaning is generally understandable, the high frequency of errors in basic grammar prevents the writing from reaching a higher band. Focusing on proofreading for subject-verb agreement and basic sentence construction would be highly beneficial.
