Student answer (Band 6.0)
A significant portion of population is hiring personal trainers instead of playing games and attending activity classes. There are several reasons for it, which mainly involves customised plan and flexible time ahead of hectic schedule. From my prespective it is a postive development as it reduces the risks of major injuries consequently, contributes toward a healthy lifestyle.
In this contemporary era, every person has a hectic schedule consequently it is challanging for many people to attend face-to-face classes which are held at fixed schedule making it difficult for full- time employees. People prefer to hire a fitness coach because they provide flexible hours which facilitate poeple to maintain work life balance. These are professionally trained to teach others how to maintain physical fitness by giving them customised plan that are specifically designed according to the requirement of people . Ultimately, reducing the risks of injuries as they make the people to perform only those exercises which are suitable for them, unlike gym trainers who insist over-weight people to do high intensity exercises. To illustrate, To achieve the target trainers motivate their clients to take initatives by light physical activity and then they move towards intense according to the body type which reduces the risk of long term injuries.
In addition to it, attending exercise classes requires extra commuting hours as there only limited fitness gyms and mostly are situated in major cities. Furthermore, they are fully occupied with people and the risk of viral diseases are higher as the equipments are non- sterilised, consequently raise concerns for deadly diseases such as hepatitis. Similarly, Playing games also require a spacious region which can be accessed only in well-renowned residential areas. So having personal trainer, one can maintain her physical fitness by doing workout in their comfort zone which could need some personal equipments but they provide life long benefits. For example, many diseases are spread through sneezing which could cause viral infections.
To conclude, though playing sports has its own benefits but it requires a large playzone, however, fitness coach can be easily accessed by anyone as they provide flexible schedules along with customised plan which is more productive than sports.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The student addresses all parts of the prompt, exploring both the reasons for hiring a personal trainer and giving a clear opinion that it is a positive development. In the introduction, the writer outlines the main reasons—customised plans and flexible schedules—and states a clear perspective regarding reduced injury risks and a healthier lifestyle. The body paragraphs further support these ideas by discussing time management, tailored routines compared to general gym settings, and the convenience of home workouts. However, some ideas are slightly repetitive or convoluted, such as the extended discussion on viral diseases and non-sterilised equipment in gyms. Overall, the task is adequately addressed, with a position maintained throughout, aligning well with the Band 6 descriptors.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The response is arranged coherently with clear paragraphing separating the introduction, body points, and conclusion. Cohesive devices are employed, such as 'In this contemporary era', 'In addition to it', and 'To conclude', though some linking words are used awkwardly or repetitively, such as 'consequently'. Referencing is generally clear, but occasional mechanical transitions disrupt the smooth progression of ideas. For example, the abrupt jump into viral diseases and sneezing in the second body paragraph feels slightly disconnected from the core theme of personal trainers versus sports or classes. Paragraphing is used sufficiently, but overall cohesion suffers from minor clunkiness in logical flow, placing it firmly at Band 6.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The student demonstrates an adequate range of vocabulary suitable for the task, attempting less common lexical items such as 'customised plan', 'hectic schedule', 'work life balance', and 'high intensity exercises'. However, there are noticeable spelling and word-choice errors that occasionally detract from precision, such as 'prespective' instead of 'perspective', 'postive' instead of 'positive', 'challanging' instead of 'challenging', 'poeple' instead of 'people', 'initatives' instead of 'initiatives', and 'equipments' used as an uncountable noun in plural form. Despite these inaccuracies, communication is never impeded, and the vocabulary is sufficient to convey the intended meanings, satisfying the criteria for Band 6.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The writer attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, incorporating relative clauses and conditional structures. There are, however, frequent grammatical and punctuation errors throughout the essay. Examples include missing articles ('portion of population' instead of 'a portion of the population', 'fixed schedule' instead of 'a fixed schedule'), subject-verb agreement issues ('it mainly involves' referring to plural reasons, 'These are professionally trained' referring to coaches), and awkward phrasing like 'they make the people to perform'. Punctuation is also faulty in places, such as missing spaces after commas and periods. While complex structures are attempted, they often result in errors, though these rarely impede overall comprehension, fitting the Band 5.5 to 6 range. A Band 6 is awarded as meaning is generally clear despite the recurring slips.
