Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 4.0

The student has attempted to address both parts of the prompt by discussing reasons for hiring a personal fitness trainer and giving an opinion on whether this development is positive. However, the response is severely truncated, containing only 149 words against the mandatory 250-word minimum specified in the task instructions. Because the length requirement is not met, the ideas are abruptly cut off—notably ending mid-sentence at 'For example, person require a muscle gain'—preventing any full development of the arguments or the conclusion. Consequently, the task response is incomplete, warranting a Band 4.0 under the official descriptors.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay displays some structural intent with an introduction and a second paragraph starting with 'To begin with,' but the abrupt cutoff prevents a full assessment of overall progression and paragraphing. Within the limited text, cohesive devices are somewhat mechanical ('To begin with', 'For example'), and referencing is occasionally faulty, such as 'which can spend aquadate amount of time' where a relative pronoun is misused. Paragraphing is incomplete since the essay stops mid-sentence in the second body paragraph. This organization earns a Band 5.0.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary used is relatively basic and repetitive, such as 'individual', 'fitness trainer', and 'body type'. There are several noticeable spelling and word-choice errors that detract from the writing, including 'classses', 'requiered', 'knowlegable', 'nutrion', 'guidence', 'insturuction', 'aquadate', and 'peronal'. These errors and the limited range of vocabulary mean the lexical resource is minimally adequate for basic communication, fitting the Band 5.0 descriptor.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The student attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, but control is weak. There are frequent grammatical errors, such as subject-verb agreement issues ('large group of individual prefer', 'Every individual have', 'person want') and missing articles ('a person', 'achive their fitness level'). Additionally, punctuation and sentence boundary errors are present, and the response ends with an unfinished fragment ('For example, person require a muscle gain'). These frequent errors can cause some difficulty for the reader, aligning with Band 5.0.
