Student answer (Band 6.0)
The scope of fitness has been increasing in the whole world to live a good and healthy lifestyle. It is believed that the number of getting private sessions for fitness are increasing from personal trainers day by day in many nations rather than participate in other exercise daily. This essay will discuss about the reasons behind this and wheather is this positive or negative development.
Starting with why people hire a personal trainer, someone who do not have any knowledge about the fitness things like proper diet, different exercises and so on, they will prefer to do personal sessions with trainers. Therefore, they will get proper information about how these things work to stay healthy and fit and achieve their fitness goal. A survey was conducted in India in 2022, 70% of individuals have their personal instructor for achieving their fitness goal.
Apart from this, I think that it is a beneficial to have a personal trainer becuase he or she will not only train you for staying fit but also give flexible sessions to you. So, whenever you have a free time for doing exercise, they will with you and teach you. Moreover, If you have your personal instructor with you, then, no need to worry about any injury because a personal trainer is highly qualified. Thay have knowledge about all the aspects of these things for example different equipments, proper diet plans, different exercises and etcetera.
To conclude, getting assistance for fitness from a personal trainer is the main reason to hire them. I believe that it has many advantages of it to stay healthy and achieving fitness goal.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses all parts of the prompt by discussing the reasons for hiring a personal trainer and giving an opinion on whether this is a positive or negative development. The student presents a clear position, stating that personal trainers are beneficial for learning proper techniques and gaining flexibility, and supports this with an example regarding fitness goals in India. However, the development of ideas remains somewhat basic and relies on generalizations. For instance, the reasons given are somewhat repetitive around knowledge and diet plans, and the explanation lacks deeper elaboration. While all aspects of the task are covered, the depth of extension places this response comfortably at Band 6.0 according to the IELTS Task Achievement descriptors.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay displays a coherent overall arrangement with a clear introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. The student attempts to use logical connectors such as 'Starting with', 'Apart from this', and 'To conclude' to structure the response. However, cohesion is sometimes mechanical and faulty, particularly with referencing and transitions between sentences. For example, the sentence 'A survey was conducted in India in 2022, 70% of individuals have their personal instructor' lacks a relative pronoun or conjunction. Paragraphing is used, but the internal flow within paragraphs can be disjointed, such as in the final body paragraph where multiple distinct points are bundled together. These features align with the Band 6 descriptor for Coherence and Cohesion.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The student demonstrates an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, successfully using terms such as 'lifestyle', 'instructor', 'qualified', and 'equipment'. There are, however, several lexical errors and inappropriate word choices, such as 'fitness things' instead of 'fitness concepts', 'wheather is this positive' containing a spelling and grammatical merge, and 'free time for doing exercise' which sounds unnatural. Less common vocabulary is attempted with limited success and some awkward collocations. Spelling errors like 'wheather' and 'equipments' (equipment is uncountable) occur. Because the vocabulary is adequate to convey the message despite inaccuracies, it fits the Band 6 profile for Lexical Resource.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The writer attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, including conditional and relative clauses like 'someone who do not have any knowledge...'. However, grammatical accuracy is inconsistent. There are several noticeable errors, such as subject-verb agreement issues ('someone who do not', 'Thay have'), awkward phrasing ('there are many advantages of it to stay healthy'), and tense inconsistencies. Punctuation is also problematic in places, with comma splices interrupting the flow. While these errors do not completely impede communication, they occur frequently enough to prevent the writing from achieving a Band 7. The structural range and control are reflective of Band 5.5, rounded to a stable Band 6.0.
