Student answer (Band 6.0)

In recent years, an increasing number of people have chosen to hire personal fitness trainers instead of taking part in team sports or group exercise classes. This essay will examine the reasons behind this trend and argue that it is largely a positive development.

Most of people in modern era are hiring personal fitness coaches which somehow saves there time they do not need to travel far place. Trainer itself comes to there home to often teach them which is very efficient and time saving. Moreover, there are less likely to miss any session. In fact, the coach can obeserve the person dealing specific health issues. That person can be monitored nicely with proper attention while training. For instance, If someone is paying money to gyms and it self is unable to reach there on time. Is a waste of money, but with trainer coming there home is a best way to stay fit. Without wasting more money on transportation. With professional trainer the risk reduces from high to low.

Furthermore, they have positive impacts on development. With personalised coaches the result are way more better and safer. Because the coach is observing you nicely from starting to end. This thing creates a new opportunity for new freshers (tariners) to gain experience and show there practical skills and knowledge.People who do not workout daily can be encouraged by the trainers as they become as source of motivation to those peoples who do not workout daily.

In conclusion, the main reason to this trends are saving time and money. Moreover, it opens new opportunities for new trainers to show there skills and gain experience in fitness industry. In my view this a positive development because, its a great source of motivation , saves money and time, reduces the risk of injury and gets more attention and precise feedback while traning.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response addresses both parts of the prompt, discussing reasons for hiring personal trainers and providing an opinion on whether this is a positive or negative development. The student presents a clear position throughout the essay. However, the development of ideas is limited and sometimes repetitive, particularly in the second paragraph where points about saving time, money, and travel are slightly muddled and under-developed. Examples given are generalised rather than fully extended. These characteristics align best with Band 6, where all parts of the task are addressed, but some areas lack sufficient depth and clarity.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay has a recognisable overall structure with an introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion, and uses standard paragraphing. However, logical progression is occasionally hindered by abrupt transitions and disjointed sentences, such as 'Is a waste of money, but with trainer coming there home is a best way to stay fit.' Cohesive devices are sometimes mechanical or inaccurate, for instance, 'Furthermore, they have positive impacts on development' where the pronoun reference is slightly unclear. Overall arrangement is coherent, placing this response firmly at Band 6.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

The student displays an adequate vocabulary for the task, attempting some less common collocations and phrases such as 'personalised coaches', 'practical skills', and 'fitness industry'. However, there are notable spelling errors and incorrect word choices throughout the text, including 'obeserve' instead of observe, 'there' instead of their or they're, 'tariners', and 'peoples'. These lexical and spelling errors occasionally cause slight strain for the reader, matching the Band 5 to Band 6 threshold, but because meaning remains generally clear, a Band 6 is appropriate.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The writer attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, such as conditional structures ('If someone is paying money...') and relative clauses. However, control over grammar and punctuation is inconsistent, featuring frequent errors such as sentence fragments ('Is a waste of money...'), missing articles, and subject-verb agreement issues ('Most of people...'). These errors sometimes impede the flow of reading, though communication is not severely distorted. This performance fits the Band 5 descriptor well.
