Student answer (Band 5.5)

Nowadays, demand of hiring personal trainers has been increasing day by day. Although personal trainer plays a crucial role in a person's fitness journey, some people believe that playing sports and doing exercise sessions could be effective. I firmly think that working with a professional trainer provides more accuracy while performing diffrent workouts.

One of the main reason, it is beneficial in several ways to employing a good fitness coach. This is because a person can conduct a fitness session more precisely and actively. For example, if a person is a beginner in the gym, and have no knowledge of any equipment, he or she will more likely to do the usage of macines in wrong way with incorrect posture which leads to numerous of injuries and due to wrong posture they will survive with so many difficulties in their body muscles so it is mandatory to hire a coach.

Another significant consideration is that having a good mentor will provide motivation to complete daily routine tasks due to this a person can not lose their interest in the goal which they fixed to achieve. To illustrate it people who has a right person to guide will perform their tasks for confidently and devotedly. Consequesntly, this would help them to focus on their aim and even good for their physical and mental well-being. Furthermore, people can discuss with their coach what they really want to target in their fitness journey such as gain muscles, reduce fat or maintaing a toned body structure. As a result, people can achieve their dream body with the assistance of their teacher.

In conclusion, Even though people can do exercise and playing sports to stay fit, by doing their own without professional coach will lose their interest very soon, so it is crucial to have a fitness trainer in the journey to stay more dedicated and devoted towards goal.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response addresses all parts of the task, discussing the reasons for hiring a personal trainer and giving a clear opinion on whether it is a positive or negative development, stating that working with a professional is beneficial. The main ideas are relevant, noting safety, correct posture, motivation, and goal targeting. However, some arguments are a bit repetitive and under-developed, particularly when discussing the reasons why people choose trainers over sports. For instance, the discussion on injuries and muscle difficulties could be more concise and focused. The position is clear throughout, but the depth of support places this response firmly at Band 6.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay has a coherent overall arrangement and logical progression, divided into clear paragraphs with an introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. However, cohesion is sometimes mechanical and faulty. For example, transition phrases like 'One of the main reason, it is beneficial...' and 'Consequesntly, this would help...' exhibit awkward phrasing and mechanical linking. Referencing is occasionally unclear, such as 'he or she will more likely to do the usage of macines in wrong way'. Paragraphing is used sufficiently, but overall cohesive devices need better integration to reach a higher band.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The student displays an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, attempting less common phrases such as 'crucial role', 'fitness journey', and 'physical and mental well-being'. However, there are frequent word-choice errors, incorrect collocations, and spelling mistakes (e.g., 'diffrent' instead of 'different', 'macines' instead of 'machines', 'Consequesntly' instead of 'Consequently'). Expressions like 'do the usage of' and 'survive with so many difficulties in their body muscles' are unnatural. While these errors do not completely impede communication, they restrict the lexical score to Band 5.5.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The writer attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, such as conditional structures ('if a person is a beginner...') and relative clauses. However, there are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text, including missing auxiliary verbs ('will more likely to do'), agreement errors ('people who has a right person'), and structural awkwardness ('by doing their own without professional coach will lose their interest'). Punctuation is also problematic, leading to run-on sentences in the body paragraphs. These frequent errors occasionally cause difficulty for the reader.
