Student answer (Band 5.0)

In this fast-growing world, everyone is stuck in their hectic schedule. That is why, nobody is having a leisure time for playing sports outside or attending exercise classes. International countries are rather chosing to hire a fitness coach at gym. Other reasons of this trend are mentioned in upcoming paragraphs. According to me its neither a positive nor negative development as everyone has different choices.

One of the main reason to choose personal trainer is lack of time to do exercise in group or for sports activities. Personal coach's job is to focus on particular individual. Along with this, Trainers are able to track our daily routine, diet, sleep cycle as well as record of B.M.I. As a result, they find out the cause of obesity and helps us to manage bodyweight and to reduce aging.

On the other hand, to attend exercise classes, it requires consistency to get desired results. Because of this busy lifestyle, people are not able to get a time for fitness. If someone is trying to do exercise at home, it requires special equipment like in gym.

In the past era, everyone choose to play outdoor sports such as cricket, volleyball, badminton, etc. However, these sports are hardly seen in particular sports ground. To be a part of these games, ones need to be present physically at that ground. The main issue is not other friends or colleagues are available at same time.

In conclusion, this trend is totally depends on someone's choice. Everything has its own advantages like by hiring fitness trainer, time can be save to focus on our fitness. Moreover, playing sports and exercise is also benefited if someone likes to follow consistency .

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

The response addresses both parts of the prompt: reasons for hiring a personal fitness trainer and whether this is a positive or negative development. The writer outlines reasons such as lack of time and the tailored guidance provided, and states a clear position that it is neither positive nor negative. However, the development of ideas remains somewhat superficial. For instance, the discussion on why people stopped playing outdoor sports lacks depth and drifts slightly off-topic regarding personal trainers. Furthermore, the phrasing 'International countries are rather chosing to hire a fitness coach' contains a logical mismatch. Nevertheless, all parts of the prompt are addressed, supporting a Band 5.5 performance.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The essay is divided into an introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. Paragraphing is attempted, but the logical progression is frequently disrupted. For example, the transition into body paragraph two ('One of the main reason to choose personal trainer is...') immediately follows an unclear introductory roadmap ('Other reasons of this trend are mentioned in upcoming paragraphs'). Cohesive devices are used mechanically or inaccurately, such as 'On the other hand' to introduce a paragraph that actually reinforces the busy lifestyle point rather than contrasting it. Referencing is sometimes unclear, particularly with pronoun use. These organizational flaws place the essay squarely in the Band 5.0 range.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

The vocabulary used is adequate for basic communication, but it is repetitive and limited in range. The student successfully employs some topic-related terms like 'obesity', 'bodyweight', 'diet', and 'sleep cycle'. However, there are notable word choice errors and unnatural collocations, such as 'International countries' instead of 'People in many countries', 'chosing' (spelling error), and 'In the past era' instead of 'In the past'. Less common lexical items are attempted but lack precision or natural control, justifying a Band 5.0 score.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

The writer attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but control is inconsistent. Frequent grammatical errors impede readability and distort meaning at times. Examples include subject-verb agreement issues ('nobody is having', 'this trend is totally depends'), missing articles ('is lack of time', 'get a time'), and plural/singular mismatch ('One of the main reason'). Complex sentences are often faulty, and punctuation is occasionally intrusive. Because errors frequently cause difficulty for the reader, the response aligns with Band 5.0 descriptors.
