Student answer (Band 6.0)

In recent times, most of people are hiring personal fitness coaches, instead of joining exercise classes or paticipate in sports. The reasons behind this trend are people can get a constructive feedback and comprehensive guidence for their fitness aims. I believe this is a positive development because this practise increases employment opportunities and help people to stay healthy.

The main reason of this trend is that individuals can get valuable feedback from their trainers. In other words, when people are doing exercises or other physical activities they do not able to determine whether they are going in right direction or not. However, trainer may help them to improve their weak areas by providing regular feedback. Another reason is a comprehensive guidence. Fitness professtionals not only help people with their exercises but alos provide them diet plans which is equally important for healthy life. For example, If a person wants to lose weight, trainer can make a strict roadmap with a deadline, which can be a effective way to achieve that goal.

In my opinion this is a positive devlopment because this may provide employment to a large number of individuals. People who have good knowledge of sports and workout activities may work as gym trainers and can earn good money without having high education or prior work experience. Furthermore, this parctice help people to stay healthy. Due to sedentary lifestyles people are sufferning with health issues. If they hire someone as fitness coach thay can exercise regularly and keep themselves fit. For Instance, when people pay for something they always try to ustilize their money properly and same applies here. When they hire trainer they automatically start following instructions of their trainers.

In conclusion, majority of people hiring trainers so they can get structured instructions and right feedback in order to achieve their fitness goals. I think this is a positive trend, because many people are getting jobs and its reduces health issues.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5

The response addresses all parts of the task by discussing both the reasons for hiring a personal trainer and whether this trend is positive or negative. A clear position is maintained throughout the essay. The reasons are relevant, identifying factors such as constructive feedback and dietary guidance, while the evaluation explores both employment opportunities and health benefits. However, some ideas remain slightly under-developed; for example, the explanation of how people do not know if they are going in the right direction could be extended with more depth. The ideas presented show the solid foundation required at this level, pointing toward a more fully fleshed-out discussion, though certain supporting details remain somewhat generalised, such as the mention of strict roadmaps.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5

The essay presents a coherent overall arrangement with a clear logical progression from the introduction through the body paragraphs to the conclusion. Paragraphing is used appropriately, with each body paragraph focusing on a distinct aspect of the prompt, such as reasons in the second paragraph and the evaluation in the third. Cohesive devices are employed, including transition markers like 'In other words', 'Another reason', and 'Furthermore'. However, cohesion can sometimes feel mechanical or slightly repetitive in its linking patterns. Referencing is generally clear, though occasional transitional links could flow more naturally to demonstrate the seamless integration typical of a higher band.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

The student uses an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, attempting less common items such as 'comprehensive guidance', 'sedentary lifestyles', and 'fitness professionals'. However, there are noticeable spelling and word-choice errors that reflect this level, such as 'paticipate' instead of 'participate', 'guidence' instead of 'guidance', 'professtionals' instead of 'professionals', 'alos' instead of 'also', 'devlopment' instead of 'development', 'parctice' instead of 'practice', 'sufferning' instead of 'suffering', 'thay' instead of 'they', and 'ustilize' instead of 'utilize'. While these inaccuracies do not seriously impede communication, they restrict the lexical score because control over less common vocabulary and spelling needs greater precision.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

The response demonstrates a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, utilizing structures like relative clauses ('people who have good knowledge') and conditional patterns. There are some errors in grammar and punctuation, such as missing articles ('trainer can make a strict roadmap', 'hire trainer'), subject-verb agreement issues ('people are sufferning'), and minor prepositional or structural awkwardness ('most of people are hiring', 'they do not able to determine'). Nevertheless, these errors are mixed with correct structures and rarely impede communication, reflecting the blend of controlled simple sentences and occasional faulty complex forms characteristic of this band.
