Student answer (Band 6.0)

In todays world half of the population believe in hiring a personal fitness tutor, instead of playing sports or doing physical activity. In my opinion this is a positive approach.

There are several reasons why people prefer to hire the personal tutor. Firstly, by this way they will get the proper diet plan which will help them to build muscles faster. Just doing exercise would not be effective if they are planning to build strength. Trainer will provide the proper schedule and take care of protein as well as other cruical vitamins. Recent survey proofs that having healthy diet will help to loose fat fater. Secondly, to gain the proper guidance. This approach will provide right direction specially for the beginners who do not know from where to start. Having expert will assist and saves time and energy by giving right instructions.

This is diffinitely a positive approach. It will increase the employment opportunities as trainers will charge for their classes. Moreover, it will make people more healthier and energetic. They will have some to give insights on nutrition rich food and motivate them to work on their stamina. Being a girl I do not like to play any sports or doing gym as I do not have enough time. Personal trainer will save alot of time as they come to our place and we get the personal attention.

In the end, for the overall growth we should know the right approach. Personal trainer gives proper attention and instruction which is more beneficial rather than doing hard work. It is rightly said that work smarter than harder.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

The response addresses all parts of the task by discussing both the reasons for hiring a personal trainer and whether this trend is positive or negative, maintaining a clear position throughout. However, some ideas are more fully developed than others. For example, the reasons regarding diet plans and saving time are introduced with relevant ideas, but they remain somewhat superficial and rely on general statements rather than deep elaboration. The personal example regarding being a girl who lacks time to play sports is rather anecdotal and shifts the focus slightly, which is characteristic of this level where ideas are sometimes under-developed or lack extended support.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The essay presents a coherent overall arrangement with a clear attempt to structure the response into logical paragraphs separating reasons and the evaluation of the trend. However, cohesion is sometimes mechanical or faulty. The use of transitional markers like 'Firstly', 'Secondly', and 'In the end' provides a basic framework, but referencing and logical flow between sentences occasionally feel abrupt, such as the sudden shift into the final paragraph. Paragraphing is present, but the internal cohesion within paragraphs could be managed more smoothly to ensure a better progression of ideas throughout the text.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

The writer uses an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, attempting some less common items such as 'crucial', 'insights', and 'motivation'. However, there are noticeable spelling and word-choice errors that reflect this level, such as 'todays' instead of 'today's', 'cruical' instead of 'crucial', 'proofs' instead of 'proves', 'loose' instead of 'lose', 'fater' instead of 'faster', 'diffinitely' instead of 'definitely', and 'healthier' combined with 'more' incorrectly. While these errors do not seriously impede communication, they highlight limitations in lexical precision, spelling control, and word formation.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

The writing demonstrates a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, attempting structures such as conditional and relative clauses. There are some errors in grammar, articles, and prepositions, such as missing articles ('Having expert', 'take care of protein'), prepositional errors ('by this way' instead of 'in this way'), and minor agreement or form issues ('doing gym' instead of 'going to the gym'). These errors are present throughout the text but rarely impede communication, allowing the reader to follow the intended message despite the lack of consistent grammatical accuracy in more complex patterns.
