Student answer (Band 5.5)
Nowadays, an increasing number of people prefer hiring personal fitness trainers instead of joining sports clubs or exercise classes. This trend is becoming popular because they receive individual attention and personalised exercise plans. In my opinion, I believe this is a positive devolpment because trainers help people acjieve their fitness goals safely.
One of the main reason for this trend is that people have busy lifestyles. This is because they donot get enough time to join exercise classes or playing sports. Furthermore, personal trainers can focus on on their personalied workout plans, providing flexible training schedules. For example, in group classes one cannot get personal attention and may not access their weak points which is one of the positive point in hiring a personal trainer. Therefore, all these benefits stand one in good stead, as far as their chances of prosperity and excellence is concerned.
I consider this is a positive development for several reasons. Firstly, a trainer can correct exercise techniques which the person is doing wrong. As it can reduce the risk of injury and help the person stay motivated.
In conclusion, people are increasingly choosing personal fitness trainers because they are help in overall development of the person and help to boost the confidence of the person. This is why I believe that this is a positive development.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You address both parts of the question and state a clear view: personal trainers are popular because they offer individual attention and flexible plans, and you consider this a positive development. The points about correcting technique, reducing injury risk and maintaining motivation are relevant. However, the reasons and benefits are only briefly explained, and the example about group classes is not developed enough to show how it supports your argument. The conclusion adds confidence and personal development, but these ideas are not established in the body. The response also contains 221 words, below the required 250, so there is limited space to develop your ideas. Explain each main point with a specific example or consequence.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, body paragraphs and a conclusion, and the reader can follow the general argument. You use linking expressions such as “Furthermore,” “For example,” and “In conclusion.” However, progression within paragraphs is uneven: the first body paragraph moves from busy lifestyles to personalised plans and then to “prosperity and excellence,” which does not clearly connect to the fitness argument. Some links are mechanical or unclear, and the second body paragraph contains a sentence fragment beginning “As it can reduce…”. The conclusion repeats the positive position rather than drawing together the developed reasons. Organise each paragraph around one clear point and explain the connection between its supporting example and that point.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the main ideas, including “personal trainers,” “exercise classes,” “workout plans,” “techniques,” and “risk of injury.” There are also attempts at more formal phrasing, such as “stand one in good stead,” although this expression is awkward in this context and “prosperity and excellence” is vague for a discussion of fitness. Noticeable spelling and word-choice errors include “devolpment,” “acjieve,” “donot,” and “personalied.” Repetition of “person” and “help” also limits variety, particularly in the conclusion. Aim for accurate, natural collocations and use more precise terms for the outcomes you mean, such as improved fitness, confidence or injury prevention.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, for example, “This trend is becoming popular because…” and “For example, in group classes…”. However, errors in sentence construction and grammar are frequent enough to make some parts awkward or unclear. “One of the main reason” needs a plural noun, while “This is because they donot get enough time to join exercise classes or playing sports” has inconsistent verb forms. “I consider this is a positive development” uses an incorrect clause pattern, and “As it can reduce…” is a fragment rather than a complete sentence. There are also agreement and article problems in “they are help” and “the person.” Practise complete sentences, consistent verb patterns and subject–verb agreement, then proofread for punctuation.
