Student answer (Band 6.0)

In many parts of world, many people prefer to hire personal fitness trainer instead of participating in sports and exercise classes. There are numerous reasons behind it which i am going to elaborate in upcoming paragrapghs. In my opinion this is a positive development.

To begin with, hiring a personal fitness trainer holds mutiple benefits. The first and foremost is, inappropraite knowledge people dont know about the exercises which are beneficial for them according to their body weight and height. In addition, people who have a hectic schedule, hiring a personal trainer working as a time saver for them. Most of the people are working, and management of time is sometimes difficult. So if they have personal trainer they can manage their time of execises accordingly. Thirdly, just doing exercises in gym is not enough for health our healthy body needs proper nutrition. As a result, fitness trainer give diet plans and check regurlarly on them.

Undoubtedly, participation in sports and doing exercise classes have own benefits, but sometimes people do not want to be compete with others in sports they dont have passion for games they choose their own personal trainers.Last but not the least, as exercise classes hold so many people at one time and some people feel hesitation while doing exercises in front of others. So lack of confidence is another major reason for hiring personal trainers instead of playing sports and attending exercise classes.

In my opinion, having a fitness trainer is a postive development because people can get more attention due to regulary check on their weight and diet plans. Moreover, personal trainer have fix set of exercises that people have to do it in any way and monitoring them every time can give better results.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5

You address both parts of the question: you give several reasons for choosing a trainer, including tailored exercise guidance, time constraints, nutrition advice, and discomfort exercising with others, and you clearly state that you see this as positive. These relevant points meet the task well. The explanation of tailored guidance and nutrition is particularly pertinent, but some ideas are asserted rather than fully explained. For example, the claim that trainers save time would be stronger with a brief explanation of how sessions fit around busy schedules. Your final point about monitoring and results also repeats earlier benefits instead of adding a developed example or qualification. To strengthen the response further, explain the consequences of each reason and support at least one point with a specific example.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, a paragraph explaining benefits, a paragraph comparing trainers with group activities, and a conclusion that restates your view. Sequencing phrases such as “To begin with,” “In addition,” and “Thirdly” help readers follow the list of reasons. However, the progression is sometimes mechanical, and several ideas are crowded into long sentences, particularly the paragraph beginning “Undoubtedly.” The contrast between the benefits of sports and the reasons people avoid them could be organised more clearly. Some references are also vague, such as “them” in the discussion of diet plans. Use clearer links between claims and explanations, and divide complex points into sentences with one main idea each.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use a relevant range of topic vocabulary, including “personal fitness trainer,” “hectic schedule,” “nutrition,” “diet plans,” and “lack of confidence.” This allows you to discuss both practical and social reasons for hiring a trainer. However, word choice and collocation are often inaccurate or repetitive, as in “inappropraite knowledge,” “management of time,” and “check regularly on them.” Spelling errors such as “mutiple,” “regurlarly,” and “postive” also reduce precision. Some phrases, including “in any way,” do not express your intended meaning clearly. Aim for more natural combinations and check spelling carefully; more precise vocabulary will make your explanations easier to understand without changing your relevant ideas.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including clauses introduced by “because,” “while,” and “if.” The overall meaning is generally recoverable, but errors in sentence structure and basic grammar are frequent enough to make some sentences difficult to follow. For example, “hiring a personal trainer working as a time saver” lacks a correctly formed main verb, while “personal trainer have fix set” has problems with agreement and sentence construction. Articles and plurals are also inconsistent, and punctuation is often missing after introductory phrases or between clauses. Practise building complete sentences with a clear subject and verb, then check agreement, articles, and punctuation. Greater control of these patterns is needed before more complex structures will be effective.
