Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.

Student answer (Band 5.0)

In some countries, people nowadays are focusing on their health and body more but by hiring a personal fitnesss trainer and not by playing any sports or doing any exercise.

According to me, hiring a fitness trainer is a positive develpoment for a person because a personal trainer has enough knowledge of what to eat and what not to eat. He/she will also help you do your exercises, trainings, diets and everything way more better than a person can do it on their own. Having a personal trainer also reduces the pain and risk of doing an exercise because in his/her presence, one won't be doing a exercise with wrong angles, more force. It feels that there is somebody who will tell me that whether I am doing it wrong or not. No harm can cause in the presence of personal trainer.

Having a personal trainer is also beneficial just because he/she will be more focused on you rather than the other guys. Being more supervised makes a person more disciplined and sincere. No doubt that having a personal trainer can be a bit expensive but when it comes to health and body, most of the people do not compromise in today's time. You will be tightned by proper diets, with proper meals having enough calories and proteins required a day, with proper time schedule and slowly growing up to proper healthy as well as fit body. A fitness trainer will behave strict with you but will for sure motivate you as well as support you with all kind of activities you do in his/her presence. One can also be strict with the schedule without any personal fitness trainer but it takes a great will to do it all alone. I am not saying that there are no people with this kind of mentality level, there are people like this but very less.

To conclude this, I would like to contribute the opinion of having a personal fitness trainer is a positive development in the society and everybody should think about it, start working on it and maintain their body healthy as well as fit for the rest of the life.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You give a clear opinion that hiring a trainer is positive and support it with relevant points, including exercise guidance, closer supervision, discipline, and motivation. However, the task asks both why this trend is happening and whether it is positive or negative. Most of the essay argues that personal training is beneficial, while the reasons people increasingly choose it over sports or classes are only implied—for example, individual attention and support. These points need to be framed explicitly as causes of the trend and developed with a relevant example. The conclusion repeats your position but adds little. A more balanced response to both parts, with clearer explanation of the reasons, would make the answer more complete.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion. The ideas are generally grouped sensibly, with supervision and discipline developed together in the second body paragraph. Basic links such as “also,” “because,” and “To conclude” help the reader follow the argument. However, progression is not always clear: the first body paragraph combines diet, exercise safety and personal reassurance, while the second moves through cost, diet, motivation and self-discipline without a strong sequence. Repeated references to “personal trainer” and “he/she” also make the writing feel repetitive, and “To conclude this” is an awkward transition. Organise each paragraph around one main reason and use clearer referencing and links between points.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use enough topic vocabulary to communicate the main ideas, including “supervised,” “disciplined,” “schedule,” “calories,” and “proteins.” These choices show awareness of the subject, but the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate or unnatural. Examples include “more better,” “tightned by proper diets,” “mentality level,” and “maintain their body healthy.” There are also spelling errors such as “fitnesss,” “develpoment,” and “tightned.” These do not prevent the overall message from being understood, but they reduce precision and sometimes make the reader pause. Aim for natural collocations and check spelling; for instance, describe a trainer as providing “individual guidance” rather than saying they will do everything “way more better.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt some longer sentences and subordinate clauses, such as “Having a personal trainer also reduces the pain and risk … because in his/her presence…” and “One can also be strict with the schedule … but it takes a great will…”. However, the range is limited, and complex attempts often contain errors that make the phrasing difficult to follow. Examples include “a exercise,” “No harm can cause,” “more better than a person can do it,” and “the opinion of having a personal fitness trainer is a positive development.” There are also problems with sentence construction and agreement, as in “most of the people do not compromise” and “maintain their body healthy.” Practise accurate articles, verb patterns and sentence boundaries, and favour clear, controlled sentences over long strings of ideas.
