Student answer (Band 6.0)
In recent years, appointing a personal fitness trainer has become increasingly common in many parts of the world. One of the major reason is that individuals find it convenient to practice their exercise routine with them, and I believe this trend has more positive impacts. This essay will discuss reasons behind this development before explaining my point of view.
There are many reasons why individuals hire a personal fitness trainer. The primary reason is that it is more convenient to follow their fitness programs. This is because a personal trainer plan a schedule for every individual seperately, according to their needs and demands. As a result, individuals find those plans more helpful and easy to follow. For instance, after my son was born, I wanted to loose my weight. For that I contacted a very popular fitness trainer in my area. She was very kind and professional, she helped my a lot during my weight loss journey. She guided me on video calls, plan a diet plan for me and the exercises as well. Although, it was a bit expensive, but worth the money. Furthermore, personal trainers are more professional and they motivate people to keep on working to achieve their goals. Consequently, people find better results with them.
As far second question is concerned, I believe hiring a private fitness trainer is a positive development. This is primarily because these trainers are more professional in their work. People can follow their plans through online classes as well. Some individuals find it difficult to get some time from their busy schedule to go to the gym. Ultimately, they just become lazy and do not perform exercise at all. Although, people who hire a fitness trainer reduces the amount of physical activities they perform such as playing sports and doing walk. Therefore a balance should be kept between performing sports activities as well as following fitness trainer's plan.
In conclusuion, a significant number of individuals find it easy to hire a personal fitness trainer because they plan according to their needs and it is more easy to follow their plan. Although this is a positive trend because it motivates many individuals to work on themselves, I believe a balance should be kept between personal trainer's plan and physical activities such as playing sports.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
You address both parts of the question: convenience and individualised programmes are given as reasons for hiring trainers, and you clearly judge the trend to be positive. The account of your own weight-loss experience provides relevant support, while the point about busy schedules adds another reason. Your position is maintained in the conclusion. However, some ideas are less fully developed than others. For example, the claim that trainers are more professional and produce better results is asserted rather than explained, and the possible drawback—that clients may do less sport or walking—is introduced without showing how common or serious this is. To strengthen the response, explain these claims with a specific mechanism or example and connect the drawback more clearly to your overall judgement.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, a paragraph on reasons, a paragraph evaluating the trend, and a conclusion. The reader can follow the main progression, and signposts such as “The primary reason,” “Furthermore,” and “In conclusion” help identify the stages of the argument. Some linking is less controlled, however. “Although” is used awkwardly in “Although, it was a bit expensive, but worth the money” and again before the point about reduced physical activity; these connections make the relationships between ideas less clear. The final paragraph also repeats points from earlier sections rather than synthesising them. Use fewer formulaic transitions, make contrast and cause-and-effect links precise, and ensure each paragraph develops one main line of reasoning.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the main ideas, including “fitness trainer,” “fitness programs,” “weight loss journey,” and “physical activities.” There are also attempts at more specific phrasing, such as “according to their needs and demands.” However, the range is limited by repeated words such as “individuals,” “plan,” and “positive,” and several word-choice, collocation, or spelling errors reduce naturalness. Examples include “appointing” a trainer, “loose my weight,” “plan a diet plan,” and “In conclusuion.” These do not prevent the reader from understanding the argument, but they make expression less precise and fluent. Build a wider set of natural collocations for exercise and coaching, and proofread spelling and word forms carefully.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt a mix of simple and complex sentences, including conditional and subordinate structures such as “This is because…” and “Although this is a positive trend…”. The overall meaning remains clear, but some grammatical errors recur across the response. Subject–verb agreement is inaccurate in “a personal trainer plan” and “people who hire a fitness trainer reduces”; verb forms are also faulty in “she… plan a diet plan” and “I wanted to loose my weight.” The sentence beginning “Although, it was a bit expensive, but…” combines two contrasting structures, and punctuation around introductory clauses is sometimes misplaced. Review agreement and past-tense forms, and practise building contrast clauses without doubling conjunctions. More consistently accurate complex sentences would improve control.
