Student answer (Band 5.5)
In the modern era , increasing number of people are hiring a personal fitness trainer rather than playing sports or doing exercise. This trend has both merits and demerits.Although it may provide certain benefits , I believe it is a positive development due to several reasons.
One of the main reason is that people can maintain consistency with the help of fitness trainer . People can do their exercises on time and it maintains their exercise routine. They can hire their personal trainer according to their time schedule. Some people have hectic schedule , they don’t have enough time to do exercises and work on their fitness. As fitness plays a crucial role in people ‘s lives. Young youth influence through social media having a personal trainer . For instance, famous cricketer Virat Kohli has a personal trainer and he maintains his consistency and committed towards his health.
Another important reason is that lack of knowledge some people have about the different exercises. They are doing wrong exercises in a wrong way in the absence of fitness trainer. Fitness trainer can correct them and guide them properly. They also maintain personal diet chart according to their body’s requirements . They trained them very carefully so that people will not get any injury while doing exercises. If people find difficulty to do exercise , they can ask to their trainer. Overall , fitness trainer is important to track their client fitness as well as their exercise routines.
In conclusion , I believe it is a positive development that some people are hiring more personal trainers because of lack of consistency and knowledge about the different exercises.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address both parts of the question: you give reasons for hiring trainers, including help with consistency, limited time, and lack of exercise knowledge, and you clearly state that you see this as a positive development. The example of Virat Kohli supports the point about maintaining a routine. However, some ideas are more fully explained than others. The discussion of busy schedules is brief, and the claim that young people are influenced by social media is not clearly connected to why they choose trainers. The conclusion repeats your position but does not add much synthesis. Develop each reason with a clearer explanation of how it leads people to hire a trainer and why this is beneficial.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion. The paragraphs generally group related points, and phrases such as “One of the main reason” and “Another important reason” signal the progression. However, connections between some ideas are abrupt: the move from hectic schedules to social-media influence, for example, is not explained. Linking words and references are also sometimes mechanical or unclear, as in “They also maintain personal diet chart,” where it is not immediately clear who “they” refers to. Improve progression by arranging each paragraph around one main reason and using clearer links between the explanation and example.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use a relevant range of topic vocabulary, including “consistency,” “exercise routine,” “hectic schedule,” “body’s requirements” and “injury.” These choices make the subject clear, and some phrases show an attempt to use more specific language. However, word choice and collocation are often awkward or repetitive, such as “Young youth influence through social media” and “track their client fitness.” “Fitness trainer” and “exercise” recur frequently, limiting flexibility. Aim for more natural combinations and precise expressions, and check word forms: for example, “maintain consistency” is clearer than “maintains their exercise routine” in the context given. More accurate vocabulary would make your explanations sound more fluent and convincing.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a contrast in the introduction (“Although it may provide certain benefits…”) and a conditional sentence (“If people find difficulty…”). The overall meaning is usually understandable, but errors in agreement, articles, sentence boundaries and verb forms are common enough to affect fluency. Examples include “One of the main reason,” “As fitness plays a crucial role…” as a sentence fragment, and “They trained them very carefully,” which has an incorrect verb form and unclear subject. Punctuation spacing and comma use are also inconsistent. Practise checking each sentence for a complete subject and verb, then review agreement and tense before submitting.
