Student answer (Band 5.0)
Nowadays, in few countries, it is seen that individuals are hiring a private fitness instructor, else playing sports or doing any otther physical activities. I believe that this is a negative development.
To begin with, individuals are hiring a personal trainer as they believe that they are good at their job so they will guide them properly how to stay fit. Moreover, they also take complete guidlines from them about their diet. But they realise later the trainers are not giving them proper training and attention. For example, my friend start taking training from a personal coach and he realises that he was wasting his money as the trainer is not at all serious.
On the other hand, individuals are neglecting sports or other physical activities and running towards to personal trainers. But this will not give them any result at all. By doing physical activities and playing sports a individual get more fir and feel relaxed. Moreover, he also get the knowledge of the sport he is palying and it gain a lot of interst in him/her.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You give a clear opinion in the introduction—“I believe that this is a negative development”—and offer relevant points about why people choose trainers, including guidance on fitness and diet. You also contrast personal training with the benefits of sport and other activities. However, the task is only partly addressed: the reasons are briefly stated, and the negative evaluation is not fully explained or supported. The example about your friend is relevant, but it focuses on one trainer’s lack of seriousness rather than showing why hiring trainers is generally a negative trend. The response is also 72 words below the required minimum, leaving too little space to develop both parts of the question. Explain the reasons more fully and support your overall judgement with a broader example.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
Your response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, a paragraph about reasons for hiring trainers, and a contrasting paragraph about sports and physical activities. Linking phrases such as “To begin with,” “Moreover,” and “On the other hand” help signal the direction of ideas. However, progression within the paragraphs is limited, and some connections are unclear. For example, “But they realise later” shifts from what people expect to what happens without explaining how this supports your overall view. The final paragraph also moves from neglecting sports to claiming trainers “will not give them any result” without a clear link or qualification. Develop each main point in a logical sequence and use references that make clear who “they” and “he” refer to.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “personal trainer,” “diet,” “physical activities,” and “playing sports,” so the main subject is understandable. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate, which sometimes makes the meaning difficult to follow. For instance, “running towards to personal trainers” is not a natural way to describe choosing this service, and “get more fir” appears to be an incorrect form. There are also spelling errors such as “otther,” “guidlines,” “palying,” and “interst.” Aim for more precise phrases and check spelling carefully. Using terms such as “one-to-one coaching,” “structured exercise classes,” and “physical well-being” would help express your ideas more clearly.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including a reason clause in “as they believe that they are good at their job” and a contrast introduced by “But.” However, the range is limited, and errors occur frequently in sentence structure, verb forms, and agreement. For example, “my friend start taking training” needs a past-tense verb, while “a individual get” has an article and subject–verb agreement problem. In “he also get the knowledge … and it gain,” the verbs do not agree with their subjects, and the sentence is difficult to follow. Practise building accurate sentences with one clear subject and verb, then check articles, singular/plural forms, and tense consistency.
