Student answer (Band 5.5)
Nowadays, many people are recruiting a personal fitness mentor, instead of playing sports or doing some physical activities. In this essay we will talk about the reason behind this, and we will find out if this is advantage or disadvantage development.
To begin with, many people tend to hire personal trainor on fitness because it is much easier for them to know what is the proper steps on how to do those exercises.Example,my own expirience, recently I came into a gym because I want to do some exercise but I found that I dont have any idea of what should I do first. When my time passes I recognized that my time was wasted on thinking of the workout that suitable for me as a begginer. After that day I also hire a personal fitness tutor to teach me the steps that I should do before and after going to gym.In addition, even if your done on your workout, your trainor will monitior your healthy diet anywhere else by texting or chating at you.On that matter, you cant skip the rules of maintaing physical diet because there is someone that will remind you to those thins.
However, even I had a trainor,I also do some sport like basketball. But then I realise that there are so many diffrences on having a workout with somebody teaches the procedure to be done, rather than just playing a sport if you have a goal on your physical fitness.
In my opinion,I think this is advantage if you are serious about physical fitness, then go and find a personal trainor.Otherwise,if you want just to have healthy lifestyle without any restrictions do some sports.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You address both parts of the question: you give reasons for hiring a trainer, such as receiving exercise guidance and diet monitoring, and you state that this is advantageous for people serious about fitness. Your gym experience is relevant support. However, the discussion is only partly developed: the reasons are mostly presented through one personal example, and the comparison with playing sport is brief. The final contrast between serious fitness goals and a healthy lifestyle without restrictions is also not fully explained, so your position could be clearer and more balanced. To strengthen the response, explain why individual guidance appeals to people more generally, then develop the benefits and any drawbacks with specific reasoning or examples.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure, moving from an introduction to reasons, a contrast with sport, and a concluding opinion. Connectors such as “To begin with,” “In addition,” and “However” help signal these stages. However, progression within the body is sometimes difficult to follow: the personal story, diet monitoring, and comparison with basketball are not linked into a clear sequence of developed points. Some transitions are mechanical, and references such as “On that matter” do not clearly show how the next idea follows. The conclusion also introduces a distinction that has not been fully prepared. Group related points into paragraphs and use clearer links to show cause, example, and contrast.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use some relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “personal fitness,” “workout,” “physical fitness,” “healthy diet,” and “restrictions.” This gives the reader a basic understanding of your ideas. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate, which can make meaning less natural: “fitness mentor,” “trainor,” “monitor your healthy diet,” and “physical diet” are examples. Spelling errors such as “expirience,” “begginer,” and “diffrences” are also noticeable. Aim to use precise, natural phrases consistently, and check spelling carefully. For instance, refer to a “personal trainer,” say that they “monitor your diet,” and describe “maintaining a balanced diet.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including clauses with “because,” “even if,” and “if,” and the main message is generally understandable. However, complex structures are often faulty, and errors in verb forms, articles, agreement, and sentence construction occur frequently. For example, “I came into a gym because I want to do some exercise” shifts tense, while “even if your done on your workout” has an incorrect form and unclear construction. Punctuation and spacing also make sentence boundaries harder to read. Practise building accurate sentences with one main clause and a clearly controlled subordinate clause, and check tense consistency when describing past experiences.
